Although the location and pub were beautiful, the food was not impressive at all.

Very busy but service still good. Vegetables a bit soggy but other than that, great food for the price.

A very enjoyable lunch. The food and wine was excellent as was the service. I have to travel 12 miles to get there but it was well worth it.

Located in the heart of Etwall, directly across from John Port School, The Spread Eagle is a convenient dining option for locals and visitors alike.

Although one of our favorite pubs, service to night was slow and a lack of attention to what was ordered. That we also had a great night and will be back as normal Ver carta

The restaurant had ran out of roast beef, roast lamb and then when we ordered something else, they’d ran out of this too. We were disappointed as was looking forward to a Sunday roast. However the food we had was good and the service was great.

Four of us had a lovely dinner. Two had the Tavern Chicken, one had prime rib and I had cod. All were excellent except for the rice side dish which was salty and left on the plate. Crystal, our wonderful server, had waited on us before; she is just fantastic. She provides the kind of service that makes the 40 minute drive worthwhile. A couple area of improvement areas include the wine list, which has gone significantly downhill in recent years. Also the decor, although part of the charm, is in need of refreshing. All in all a very good dining experience.

I was very disappointed. The waiters advise us on arrival there were many things on the menu that they had already expired. We decided to stay and my partner ordered Filet Steak. After we finished our starters, the waiters came back to the table to clear our plates, to tell my partner that they had run out of Filet-Steak, and he had to choose something else from the already limited menu. The fact that the waiters let us order our starter ad, then they eat to tell us that they ran out of Filet-Steak for disgusting. We paid for our starters and left our net. Wouldn't come back.
