Best Sunday lunch I've had anywhere locally. In fact, the best Sunday lunch I've ever had.

Because of group number we had to reorder main course, not a problem. The sweet menu is fussy over elaborate, the coffee fudge was a source of group humour!

Just ok to be brutality honest. Food ok but certainly nothing special....over promised but under delivered. Waiting staff disinterested but pleasant. Sadly not somewhere we would visit again unfortunately. Ver carta

The pub of the summer? Stunning building in a beautiful location, superb staff and cracking drinks selection! We didn't stop for food but the menu looked lovley, local produce, pub classics and daily specials. The extensive wine is enough to keep everyone happy with an astonishing and well priced selection. Can't wait to return for a meal and a sunny spot in the spacious garden!

Stopped for a drink on the way home. Have promised myself this for ages, but it is a little further outside the range for home. They have been very active on social media in recent months, so it would be rude not to stop! Well received with pleasant welcome. Glass of wine and a pint of Tring Brewery beer exclusive to The Stag. Nice atmosphere so will be stopping again, and perhaps have a meal also. Well worth a visit.

I went here with a friend to enjoy good food and for quality time. The staff were attentive when we arrived and showed us our table promptly. We both ordered some mocktails which were delicious. The food we ordered, the portion sizes are just right, they aren't massive and they aren't tiny and each dish was delicious. We decided to share the dessert, which takes 30 minutes but we think it's worth the wait. I can't wait to return later on in the year or potentially try one of their Sunday Roasts Ver carta
