The Vintner - Carta

First time in Stratford Upon Avon and chose the Vintner as my first evening meal. Excellent service from Mellisa and team, and the food was lovely. Highly recommend.

Great menu, lovely atmosphere and fab food. Friendly and very enjoyable. Our waitress, Caitlin, was excellent and attended to our requests very well. Wonderful evening. Highly recommend.

Have been visiting here for many years but I won’t be any more this is the 3rd time I’ve had lunch and it’s been very poor quality. service wasn’t much better. I know it’s a busy time of year but keep up your standards We will NOT COME again ! Expensive for what little we had !

We had a wonderful experience visiting Stratford upon Avon just before Christmas. The roast pheasant was delicious, and the Christmas pudding in brandy sauce was excellent. Had a wonderful dining experience at The Vintner. The menu was impressive with a variety of options to choose from. The goats cheese filo parcel was outstanding, accompanied by a delicious salad. The chocolate mousse cake for dessert was absolutely amazing. The wine list was extensive. Our server, a young lady named Melissa, provided excellent service and was a real asset to the restaurant. Highly recommend dining here.

Came here with my Mum for lunch. We had booked in advance as it’s so close to Christmas. We were immediately greeted upon arrival and shown to our table upstairs. The Vintner is a characterful beamed building with a cosy atmosphere. The Christmas decorations were lovely. The menu was great with lots of choice/veggie and vegan options/lighter options and also a set lunch menu. We both opted for mains which were both absolutely delicious. Our waitress was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Water for the table was offered without prompting. We had a great visit and will definitely be back. Oh and the ladies loos were spotless!

Just got home from having Sunday lunch here. Three out of the four of us had traditional roasts served with side vegetables and extra gravy and the other the pork escalope. For dessert a sorbet, a crème brulee and a chocolate marble moose cake. The food was all absolutely excellent although I should say the moose cake is only for those with a very sweet tooth. The venue is a lovely old timbered building with good décor and is just a nice place to be. And to complete the pleasure of the whole experience our server, Caitlin, was helpful and patient (we had a very elderly friend in our group) and very kindly sorted something out so that although we seriously overran our agreed time slot we didn...
