good vegan menu, my personal fave is the fish-free fish and chips very tasty, friendly staff and cozy atmosphere

The vegan roast was a delicious pastry wellington filled with vegetables. It was very flavorful and satisfying. The restaurant had a friendly atmosphere and a lovely beer garden. I would definitely return again.

We were travelling to Cambridge and needed somewhere to stop along the way. It was great to have a few different options to choose from. We ordered the mushroom and ale pie, burger, and cheesecake. The portion sizes were good and the service was quick. Ver carta

came here because my usual bike tour caffe stop was closed. it does not mention anything about having soy milk on their website, but they do so that I had a cup of tea. the vegan chocolate skyberry torte was really nice. service was fast, friendly and a nice cozy atmosphere inside.

We had the vegan burgers with chips and really enjoyed them. The lunch menu is good value excellent portion at £7 each. The sides don’t have vegan labelling on the menu for some reason so double check with their allergen folder. We sat in the garden and had a very relaxing hour with our newborn. The pub itself is huge too and beautifully decorated. Staff were friendly. Only downside is the corridor to the toilets is really dark and the lights therein take a while to come on so I know some of my family with sight issues wouldn’t feel comfortable. For my meal, I enjoyed the harissa skewers for starters which were delicious, followed by the mushroom pie that had a generous amount of pastry. The pie filling was tasty and the chips were also great. Owned by Greene King, the pub's real ale selection can sometimes be limited, but on the night of our visit they had Black Sheep available. this is one of three pubs in the village great glen, of which two eat (the other is the pug and greyhound). the building is old and pleasant atmosphere, with very friendly staff. there is a pub garden for sunny days. the menu is meat heavy, but has a few vegan options (burger, mushroom cake) and a vegetarian option (risotto).
