"Popped in for a beer and snack chips) during a bike ride late lunchtime. The staff were amazing and very friendly even though i was dressed in bike gear. The beer was excellent, very well kept and nice chips too. The inside is very nicely set out and decorated and it felt very welcoming. However I felt the price was over the top £9.70 for a beer and chips albeit very nicely presented). I guess this is in keeping with its 5* hotel rating but it is too expensive for a casual lunchtime mid walk/ride stop. I looked at the menu for evenings but starters are typically £9 15 and mains £26 35. It gets very good reviews for the food but its probably not one for us. I would say it warrants 6 stars for the welcome and the beer but the prices put me off rather I am a yorkshireman after all."

We called in for a drink after our walk and so glad we did what a stunning place the food sounds amazing and a great selection of drinks, with the friendly and knowledgeable bar staff.

A delightful evening and overnight stay. The service was excellent throughout, the rooms beautiful and the food exquisite. It is in a fabulous location. There really was no down side, it was all perfect.

Just arrived home from our 4th stay at The Timble Inn celebrating a friends 50th, fabulous evening as always but I have to say that the wonderful service from the lovely, funny and very entertaining Ruta really made our evening, she is superb and an asset to your venue. We will be back for sure. X

Tucked out of the way, this pretty little village Inn is well worth a visit. Split into cosy little rooms makes for an intimate dining experience. The staff are lovely . I went with two of my Sister's on Boxing day . The food is fantastic . Portions , plentiful pleasing to look at . You don't have to wait long either , but , also don't feel rushed . We've dined here before will definitely be returning.
