Food locally sourced….love that. Food freshly cooked….love that. Great customer service and friendly team…..love that…..what is not to like about this pub!!! Had a lovely evening….

Beautiful home cooked food, friendly and insightful staff. We had fillet surf and turf with garlic butter and king prawns. The steak was a cooked to perfection as was the mixed grill.

First time here and was unreal food. Tasty and just spot on. I had mix grill and My partner had ribeye stake was cooked perfectly and the staff are attentive and nothing's too much will definatly be back Ver carta

Had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant. The prices were reasonable and the service was fast and efficient. The menu had a great variety of well-cooked dishes, especially the delicious steaks.

Went here for Sunday lunch whilst visiting family in the area, sat in the conservatory, very busy which is always a good sign, food came quickly, massive portions, friendly and attentive staff, good value for money, happy family all round!!

Wonderful food, proper pub grub!! . We had 3 courses and were so full afterwards. For starter we had the combo for 2 and it had a great selection of different bits but I would say that 3 people could share it. Unfortunately when we asked the waitress what was on it she had no idea and said she only knew that hallumi was on it but it wasn’t on the dish when it arrived. Both had a delicious lasagne for main however the only downfall was the peas were frozen. Jam roly polly for dessert was unreal!!! Great value for money and huge portions. The barman who i think was called callum?? was very friendly and wished us a good holiday. Will definitely be returning!! Ver carta

Located on the east side of A688, across from a large garage, this inn offers limited parking for about twelve cars. It is recommended to book ahead for a midday lunch. My friends and I had a reservation for 1.45pm, but upon arrival, there was no table ready for us. However, a waiter quickly found us a table. We ordered drinks at the bar and received a small bill number ticket. Our table was ready before our drinks were finished. Once seated, we ordered the chicken Sunday lunch. Surprisingly, our food arrived quickly and was not served buffet style. We were in the area of Bishop and decided to stop for lunch on our way home. We hadn't been to Bishop in a while, so after reading some reviews of Top House and a similar nearby restaurant, we chose to dine at Top House for its more affordable prices. The food was delicious and served quickly with a friendly attitude. I ordered the Steak Pie and my partner had the Top House Burger. After seeing how amazing the pie looked, I wished I had ordered it instead. The meat was tender and plentiful, and although it came with a suet lid, it was reportedly delicious. Came for the Christmas Fayre menu with my work colleagues in December 2022 but haven’t had chance to write the review until now. The food was very disappointing in fact I thought the dinner was disgusting the vegetables were disgusting and tasted cheap only one pig in blanket which were burnt for everybody on our table. No thought has been put into the menu it was the same as the previous years. No fish option unless you went on an evening so I was forced to eat meat so I didn’t miss out on the meal as the vegetarian starter and main meal were mushrooms and I hate mushrooms.
