"Antichi Sapori is rather an upscale restaurant with a nice atmosphere. They really put a lot of effort into making their guests feel cared for and welcome. On their menu, besides their traditional Italian dishes including animal ingredients, they also have a vegan surprise menu. I guess the menu varies according to the their daily card. I went there with a friend and we got a fettuccine soup, a bruschetta with chanterelles as appetizer, linguine with a cauliflower dressing and truffles as main dish and a fruit sorbet as dessert. They also had a selection of vegan whine to accompany the menu. All in all, I appreciate that they serve a vegan option and the ideas are nice, yet, the food was rather bland and lacked taste. To be honest, I wouldn't recommand this restaurant for other vegans, rather it might be an option if you are looking for an upscale restaurant for a mixed group with omnivores."

Very nice quaint italian place. I had the vegitarian suprise menu. It was deliciois. More then I could have hope for.the weiter was very friendly. I ohne the small central location, though, on a warm summer evening you want to sit near a window. Swiss prices. I left being more than full after the 3 course dinner. Ver carta

Best Italian restaurant in Basel and surroundings. It is a small and cosy restaurant close to the Marktplatz in Basel. If you do not know, you won’t see it. Friendly staff, seasonal changing menu, fresh food and great wines plus a great atmosphere. We visit this restaurant regularly and we have never been disappointed.

a very cozy restaurant in the 1st floor in the old town. for us there was the vegan surprise menu (already announced at the reservation). the service was very friendly and attentive. the food was original (e.g. pasta sauce made from cauliflower and ranting) and delicious. we felt very comfortable I can only recommend it.

Ein sehr gemütliches Restaurant im 1. Stock in der Altstadt. Für uns gab es das vegane Surprise Menue (bei der Reservation bereits angekündigt). Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war originell (z.B. Pastasauce aus Blumenkohl und Randen) und lecker. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Ver carta

We went to Basel for lunch. We were passing this trattoria and DH offered to have an Italian lunch. The Wednesday menu consisted of 3 different dishes we could choose plus appetiser. DH chose a calf and potatoes dish and I did some pasta with tomato sauce and Italian sausage and our meal was teamed with Chianti, of course. We also took home made Tiramisu, it was delicious. The trattoria is small but very cosy. The staff is friendly and attentive. Actually the meal was simple but very tasty. Worth visiting again.

I guess the menu varies depending on the day menu. I went there with a friend and we got a captivating soup, a cricket with chanterelles as an appetizer, linguine with a flower cabbage dressing and truffle as a main dish and a fruit sorbet as dessert. they also had a selection of vegan laune to accompany the menu. all in all, I guess they serve a vegan option and the ideas are beautiful, but eating was quite dirty and taste lac...
