"Popped into spoons as a group of 10 on a quiet Monday morning after a holiday away with friends as this was on the route home. Really cool looking building, no issues finding a table as was not busy even as a large group.Ordered all drinks and food on the app without any problems as you do normally wetherspoons. There were only two members of floor staff that we had seen so far so we expected service to be a little slow and that’s fine.It got to about 20 minutes since we had ordered and there was no sign of our drinks, which was an assortment of cokes, lemonades, 2 coffee mugs and a single beer others. Nothing too extravagant or complicated. Very slowly drinks started to trickle onto our table one at a time, until 3/4 of us had drinks. Note that there was no apologies for the wait or indication of where the other drinks were.Food also started to turn up, which consisted of mainly pizzas and some breakfasts again, one at a time with minutes in between. At 45 minutes since we ordered, what I thought was my pizza had arrived. It was a plain margarita, except I had ordered with extra toppings of mushrooms and onion I decided not to bring this up to the waitress given that it had taken so long to arrive and I just wanted to eat now so I just took it as it was. Several minutes later and about 3/4s of our food had arrived, and half our drinks were at the table. We decided to mention the drinks situation to the waitress who said that there was only two people working on drinks downstairs, but she did not apologise or if she would ask why was going on downstairs so this was frustrating. About five minutes later our drinks appeared on the bar behind us and left there but were not taken to our table.Another five minutes and my actual pizza turned up, the one with all the toppings!! So I rather guiltily and gingerly took this pizza too, but I don’t regret my decision or reasoning on the one I had already eaten given the time it took to actually arrive. My friends breakfasts were also not very hot.10 mins later now one my friends still had no food arrive, and our remaining drinks were still on the bar behind us. At this point we had enough, we collected our drinks still on the bar (we checked they were ours as the tickets on the tray were our table numbers) and me and my friend went downstairs to work out where a missing pepperoni pizza and coffee mug was. We spoke to the waitress we had and were given the missing coffee mug, but were told that because we had eaten the plain margarita (which was apparently meant for another table) they hadn’t given us the pepperoni and she said we could have pepperoni put on the margarita instead. We said this wasn’t good enough, and explained why I had the plain margarita and that our friend still hadn’t eaten well over an hour since he ordered. The waitress then went into the kitchen and bought out the pizza we were missing. The waitress explained twice to all of us that they had gotten confused with the order, with the extra pizza toppings and drinks, (which frankly wasn’t that complicated) but the way she lingered at the table while she explained what had happened suggested that she expected us to pay for the extra pizza I had accidentally eaten. She didn’t explicitly say this but the way she acted suggested it, and she did wander off downstairs eventually. Despite all of this, there were no apologies for the time we waited, and the ‘manager’ who occasionally appeared upstairs clearly had no idea what was going on, as he was idle downstairs most of the time. There’s a difference between being busy and understaffed, and being quiet and just kinda useless. This spoons was the latter, which was a shame given it’s stunning location. We left very disappointed.TLDR: Immensely slow to bring out food and drinks, adequate food, sloppy standards, worst spoons we’ve been to. Just poor, and disappointing, to be honest."
