Unibräu - Carta

Mit der Familie gestern zum ersten Mal dort gewesen - leckere bodenständige Küche, die gebackenen Camemberts waren gut. Vermutlich kommen wir wenns warm ist nochmal für die Spareribs.

So schön der Garten im Sommer auch ist, wann immer ich ins Unibräu gehe, ärgere ich mich über das Service. Langes Warten und gestresste Kellner. Das Essen ist nett aber kein Aha-Erlebnis.

Das dürfte wohl das Lokal am Campus sein, dass am wenigsten von den Studierenden (dafür aber von Professoren) frequentiert wird. Nicht geeignet wenn man nur eine Stunde frei hat und etwas Warmes zu essen möchte. Die Preise sind auch ziemlich teuer und die Speisen zumindest für mich wenig ansprechend. Dann doch lieber zum Gang'l oder in die Stiegl Ambulanz.

Came here with a group of 8 people for lunch and, while the food was decent, the service was ridiculously slow. We had budgeted two hours for lunch, but even that was not enough time to have our orders taken, filled, eaten, and the bill settled. We were all late returning to the conference as a result. Food wise, we tourists had all the Viennese specialities, and everyone was happy with their schnitzel, würst, etc.

Das vegetarische Mittagsmenü gibt's im Universitätsbräu schon für 6,90€ (Suppe+Hauptgericht), wobei vegetarisch hier vielleicht nicht die richtige Bezeichnung ist, denn in der Kartoffelsuppe ist Speck. Interessanter Weise war die Suppe völlig überwürzt, die Pasta dafür aber eher lasch. Alles nicht so tragisch - hier kann man auf jeden Fall Mittags hingehen, zumal der Service schnell und freundlich und die Lage mitten am Campus ziemlich cool ist :)

Gatsgartenatmosphäre neben einem staubigen Kinderspielplatz und das bei windigem Wetter.....Die Spareribs vom Grill waren, neben den Pommes u. den zwei Sauce, mengenmäßig, ok, aber sicherlich keine Offenbarung. Vom Grill erwartet man sich etwas mehr an Qualität. Der Salat na ja.Das Bier ersetzte die erwartbare, fehlende Qualität des Essens. Ausgezeichnete Biere von Lager bis zu Dunkel, hervorragend kühl u. gut gezapft haben uns mit dem Lokal versöhnt. Der Preis war aber für das Gebotene schon etwas überhalten. Ver carta
