"So I arrived with my wife as a birthday treat at approx 12.30. We were welcomed in as we arrived even though we hadn’t booked a table. I ordered a non-alcoholic drink and my wife had a small glass of fizz to celebrate. When the menu arrived we thought not to have a starter as we were both wanting the roast dinner and if we had room a nice pud and coffee to finish off. When our food came it wasn’t what we were expecting. Most of the plate was full of red and green cabbage with only a couple of small roasties?? The meat was tasty but not much plated. Anyway we skipped ordering desert because the coffee machine wasn’t working and settled with a shell garage meal deal for the way home.overpriced if I’m honest and hate leaving hungry! £46 for a small roast and drink is disappointing. "If I was rating on staff/service/friendliness I would give this place a 5 star review but the food was pretty awful and really only deserves 1 or 2 stars at best but I 'm trying to be kind as they seem like lovely people. We stopped at this pub because there was an A board outside saying Great food and we took it on face value so we really were expecting something at least good . We were very hungry after driving for quite some time, so we did eat the food but really didn 't enjoy it. If we hadn 't been so hungry the plates would have gone back full I 'm afraid. Gravy tasted like packet (instant) gravy, potatoes seemed like they 'd been reheated more than once really awful. Giving 3 stars is being kind but as I say the staff were lovely and the service great. If they take more care in what they produce in the kitchen, this place could be great."

"I recently had the most delicious beef roast dinner at Kassidy's. I don't eat roast potatoes, so Christine gave me extra vegetables. I can recommend all the meals. Whilst I was there, an elderly gentleman was raving about the ploughman's lunch he had just eaten. He said that so few serve it these days. The drinks and cakes are delicious, the staff friendly and helpful, plus it's dog friendly and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommended."

"Booked a table to celebrate my husbands and grandsons birthday, the meal was terrible. Steak well overcooked, one meal undercooked . Steak ale pie microwaved to a crisp. Chicken tasted horrible, curry dry and no sauce, gammon thin and overcooked, pork ribs very dry. Three food dishes sent back to be cooked properly and everyones chips where luke warm. The vegetables where boil in a bag. Complained to the chef/Owner was very rude and unprofessional trying to course an agreement which my husband quickly defused. I don't agree with having to pay for a meal before it is brought to the table. In good restaurants you pay after your meal. The waitress was pleasant and polite and kept apologising. A scone of 1 is the best we can give. Please save your money and don't eat at this place."
