I love visiting Reflex when I'm in York for a night out. This place plays music from the 1980s and always gets me dancing.

This bar/club is a great spot for a fun night out. With its 80's theme and rotating dancefloor, it's a hit with the crowd.

Really nice place and lovely staff. Very slow service but well worth the wait. Food was fantastic and fresh to order, will visit again. Ver carta

The prices vary depending on the night, with drinks starting at £1 on Thursdays, also known as "student night", and slightly higher prices on other nights.

Absolutely not disabled-friendly up to about three stairs!! Eating terrible, service slow, although the place was almost empty. Good view of windows, but that was his only saving grace! Ver carta

Went on Saturday evening 14/01/17 Table booked 8.15 it wasn't busy couple of tables. Waiter was great polite and friendly Food was good when we EVENTUALLY got it waited over an hour for starters , mains was a little quicker hence we declined deserts. Awful tasting water

Many stairs to get to the restaurant, therefore the name. A novice to Mr Hitchcock once inside, but certainly not overrepresenting it is about eating here, not the decor. Great staff and although no children's menu, they allowed us to choose from the restaurant's children's menu below, so they were very accommodating. 16 ounces of Steak was from this world and the Bakewell Tart was another triumph. It's expensive, but worth it. Especially.

That was an amazing find!! The hostess was very friendly and the menu was a pleasure, I was not sure what to order everything looked so good. If you are a foodie, then you will love this place with its special board, which was squirrel cake when we were there (by the way delicacies). The whole food I and my mother had was perfect and cooked for perfection. The tempo of the meal was good 2 courses in just one hour and a half. This is a piece of jewelry that has now become my new place when you can eat in York. I'm torn, should I keep this a hidden treasure or cry from the rooftops that this restaurant exists?
