"When we arrived at The Village Hotel Aberdeen we were put in a lovely room with a super king size bed, lovely decor and it was lovely and clean. We stayed the first night in this room, the bed was extremely comfortable and a very good size. The problem was I have mobility difficulties and there was a bath in the bathroom. I went to reception to see if they could do anything, the staff were very friendly and helpful and changed our room to an accessible room. I really wish we hadn't changed room! The accessible room was awful! The bed was a small double and the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on, I woke every hour through the night with back pain, as did my partner. The room decor was dingy and the carpet was stained, there were marks on the sheets and the TV was much smaller than the TV in the original room. Why does the accessible room not have the same standards as a normal room? I was appauled. They really should improve the standard of the accessible room, it is unfair that people that need to use these rooms have to compromise on comfort and luxury. On a positive note, the staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly, the breakfast and evening meal were very delicious, although quite expensive. The breakfast is a buffet style with lots of choice. The evening meals have a good size portion and are very yummy. There is limited room service available between 5pm and 9:30pm. The bar was well stocked, although some of the drinks on tap were not available because the pumps were broken. The bar prices are quite expensive... £10.60 for a pint of larger and a Jack Daniels with diet Coke. My overall opinion is that if you are staying in a standard king size room then I would recommend, but if you are staying in an accessible room avoid unless you want a bad back!"

Unfortunately, the Village has discontinued its Sunday carvery, which was fantastic. It seems they lost some customers today because of it.

Great for Saturday lunch. Good sports coverage. Somethings happened to the burgers. Were good on previous visit. Fish and CIOs were good. Staff were friendly, service levels weren’t great. Will visit again.

my two friends and I had a great tee this afternoon. eating was freshly made and the gluten-free option was fantastic. the service was excellent. really the best afternoon (and we had a few) we had. thanks to the city bar and diner.

we really enjoyed our break in the village aberdeen. very clean room, simple, but well furnished, and we had everything we needed for one night. the swimming facilities were clean and well maintained. Eat was ok and good choice at breakfast.

We received exceptional service from Joe. He was incredibly attentive and accommodating, which was especially appreciated since we had two children under 18 months with us. The food was flavorful, although it could have been served hotter. Additionally, it would be helpful to cover the starters and desserts, as there were quite a few small black flies buzzing around. The chef was very friendly and eager to help. We will definitely return!

the hotel was about a week in business, the hotel was perfect for my needs and being new was very clean and tidy. service was excellent and the staff was very nice. my room was relaxed and had a look at the business park and hills in the far away. the breakfast was very good and the chef cooked me a delicious omelette. outside the sitting corner at the water was also beautiful and relaxing. taxi to aberdeen costs £21 through the hotel, but only £16 to get back from the city. buses seem to be sporadic at the weekend. a very good stay here.

our first stay in the village hotel was brilliant. we have a lot, so the stay was very cheap. room was very clean, could have been done with a mini fridge, but it is not a big thing. we really enjoyed it with the pool steam bath. brilliant with a star-corner in the space that was handy for a morning coffee. the only thing I would mention is the noise of the gym tomorrow is quite loud, we were in the 3rd floor, and we were awakened by loud music at 8 o'clock, so did not get the sleep we hoped we had. dining room service was nice, but only a little expensive. great hotel, anyway, and would certainly return.

my wife and I were 2 nights in the hotel. the room was comfortable and clean with an excellent bathroom. the hotel, although a short distance from the city center has a regular bus service that had us on the union road in a few minutes. an evening meal at the hotel was a good pub duve presented both delicious and good. the breakfast was compact, delicious and hot. I loved the little teapots they can fill themselves, give 2 good tassen. the staff was always friendly and helpful. a member of the bar staff supported us in sorting the chaos we had made to order online food. on the second morning I visited the gym and the pool that was a good experience again. a well-equipped gym with friendly st...

After returning to our table, we waited for about ten minutes before we had to flag down a staff member to take our drink orders. Once our drinks arrived, we were asked for our meal choices. To our disappointment, we discovered that the Sunday roast, which we intended to order, was completely sold out. It would have been helpful to know this before we ordered drinks. We found nothing else on the menu appealing, so we decided to just pay for our drinks instead. The mini 'graze' starters that we sampled were complimentary, which suggests that there might not be a chargeable option for the starters table. The noise level in the restaurant was quite high, likely due to a football match happeni...
