"travel on the way to a short stay in the cotswolds, explore the againstd found via google ye olde swan pub. parked upwards went over a small stone bridge to him. through the pub (one way into) in the large garden (with exit over the other side of the garden next to a wood fire pizza area.) there is a grill area closer to the pub and an exterior with many outside seats. with a few places to sit near the themses and a covered area. find the menus there, grab a table number go order from the bbq area. it was nice and relaxing sitting on the water with a drink something to eat. on the side of the parking lot is a campsite that looked good. paddleboards and kajaks for rent over the pub. plus a bonus to see a long boat under and through the small stone bridge, view from the sitting area outside "

Camped there for the sausage and cider festival and it was brilliant. Great crowd, great bands, great atmosphere! The camping facilities were 5 star! Toilets and shower block beautiful and clean. Landlady is super lovely. Will be there next year 100℅

Great food, lovely staff. The Pizzas took a little bit longer than the rest of the food off the menu but its because they're stone fired in the pizza oven. Staff did advise this when ordering, so you can change your mind if you want it all together. Would definitely visit again. Ver carta

Fantastic pub by the river, and theirs also a campsite opposite. Theirs parking at pub which is free, but theirs also an overflow £5 but you get it back if spend £10? Lovely situation and really nice footpaths for walks. The pub has a large garden and a pizza hut during peak season.

Very nice location and really friendly staff. This pub is one of the best for locations on a hot day, layout of furniture etc is perfect. Right next to the river. We went had a drink and ordered fish and chips, only let down is the fish was very mushy and didn't feel fresh that's the only bad side. Burgers looked lovely.

large camping site in wonderful location on an island with flow both sides good ton height, enough toilets that were clean, never ran out paper, cold water sink to wash, shop/reception with enough storage for pieces that they forget or need to be on the staff to top were all very helpful friendly especially andy that could not do enough to make our stay back to a great camper Ver carta

Really lovely setting by the Canal , beautiful pub with a lovely feel inside , pint prices are inline with local pubs. Excellent outdoor seating with cover. The food however left a lot to be desired, burger was thin and defrosted cash and carry fare, fries were the same, a side splattering of salad did not make for it . If you are going for a pint and sit down then great, I'd personally not eat there again until I knew there was a change of supplier

Decided on a whim to camp here mid week for two nights with my dog. What a great site!! Right on the Thames the site has large plots, with some running right along the tow path. Owners are really friendly and have a great shop with anything you may have forgotten. Site also has teepees and shepherds huts. Located right opposite is the pub which has a large garden and serves good food. My only criticism would be while the facilities are simple which is fine, the showers are really small and only one hook for clothes and towel. It could do with an extra hook and a shelf to put your shampoo etc. Otherwise really clean and enough for the size of the site.

"We visited The Plough on two consecutive nights on the basis of reviews and because we could walk from where we were staying in Kelmscott. Neither experience was great. First night we both made the mistake of having the Double Gloucester cheese soufflé. Let 's just say this was not what we expected a cheese soufflé to be. It was more like a steamed pudding in a bowl of cheese sauce with grilled cheese on top! Neither of us could finish it and it gave my wife such bad indigestion that she couldn 't eat any of her rather greasy chicken escalope main course. Avoid at all costs. The second night we both opted for the steak frites. This was passable but the meat had obviously been standing for a while as the beure café de paris on top was not melting, it was so cold. We were hungry so couldn 't be bothered to send it back but we did query it as the plates were being cleared. The message came back from the kitchen that there had been no delay . But that just sums the place up. The waiting staff had no idea what they were doing and took an age to do anything. We ordered sparkling wine as an aperitif (once I had found the wine list for myself! and this was left for several minutes where we could see it going flat before anyone bothered to bring it to the table. We ordered wine to go with the mains and we had to ask for it again as we were at risk of finishing eating before it arrived! To summarise, set your expectations low and you might have a nice time and avoid the cheese soufflé."
