"I was under the week at noon and there was a lot going on, we were lucky we got a place without reservation. The pizza was baked in a stone oven and richly covered. The melted mozzarella cheese on the pizza was a dream. Very nice atmosphere and very nice service. Next time I would book a safe table."

"So.... Unsure where to park my bike after a 450 mile day in 35degC of humidity, I parked at the rear of the hotel. Before my legs had hit the ground I saw a chap marching toward me. Braced for "you can't leave that there" I was pleasantly surprised to hear "Hello, welcome to Athos. Would you like me to put that in a garage for you? Take your jacket off and I'll get you a beer". I was dumbfounded, in a good way obviously! And Athos just continued to impress me. I was shown to me room (bike safely locked away) and I honestly thought my host was joking. The room was HUGE! Old oak furnishings, a very comfy bad and a bathroom bigger than most hotel rooms I stay in ensured a great night's sleep and a very comfortable stay. Out of biker mode and in 'normal' clothes, I visited the restaurant. The food was traditional Greek and I have to say, very nice indeed, and very cheap in my view. Apart from my welcome beer (on the house) I received 3 Ouzo shots from my host, which probably contributed to my god night's sleep . I would have no hesitation in returning to Hotel Athos. The hospitality, accommodation, food and drink are all first class. Baden Baden is pretty nice too!Strongly recommended."

"after or before a performance in the badener festspielhaus to the cozy tasty food, that was quite clear. for years. As always, we were happy at the Easter Festival at “our” paganini. what surprise! the interior was completely changed. very stylish, great lighting, the paganini wins enormously.Leider has lost the kitchen in the same dimension... the (admittedly elaborate) zabaione there is no more. the brush breast strips in the salat, always warm and freshly roasted, were unfortunately cold. the pizza with salami came without salami. the above said while serving, the salami would be the same and then brought them separately on an extra dish. on demand he told us that salami had been forgotten directly on the pizza... for this unfortunately only 3 points. hopefully soon again at the usual level!"

"I was a bit surprised that this place gets some bad reviews here. in my opinion, this is not really fair. when eating at such a place you also have to consider the relevance of the restaurant. in a city like swimming baths...where the price of an average meal in a restaurant is about 30 euro without drinks, you cannot negotiate about this place. eating is fresh and the price is really good. read the bad reviews people not to mention that they pay a average here of 8 euro per meal. it is like a snack to compare with a michelin restaurant. in the center of bathing there is almost no place where you can eat a fresh meal at this price. concerning the waitress of the tempos, we must have met someone, because this is really friendly. in any case a place to go and I must note that the owners are really jealous people. when they disregarded a 100 euro note for fifty, they did not even use it."

"Popped in for a change from the heavy German good we'd been eating on our motorbike trip around Bavaria and the Black Forest. Even though every table was reserved (a good sign!) the manager Immanuel invited us to eat at the bar. Charming and interesting throughout, he explained the menu choices fully, recommended some dishes which we ordered. The food was superb and Immanuel made us feel very special. I would certainly recommend this restaurant if visiting Baden Baden. BZ."

"this place is perfect for a simple light meal; I liked eating very well. the service is something completely different: when the waitress realized that I don't speak good German, she gave me a menu in English. good, but the menus are different; some elements from the German menu are not included in the English version. I thought that was weird. we ordered from the German-speaking menu. when it was about paying, I warned my partner to check the bill, as I noticed that the two tables had problems close to us, and asked the waitress to check the bill or recalculate the fee to be paid. in fact, it has made a mistake on our receipt about the amount of 20 euro. it was very unpleasant ... "I recently dined at Romano, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The highlight of the evening was the truffle pasta. The moment the dish arrived, my family and I devoured it. The pasta was cooked to perfection—al dente, just as it should be. The rich, creamy Alfredo sauce was expertly balanced, allowing the amazing flavors of the truffles to shine through without overwhelming the palate. Even though we had made a reservation through their website, and showed them the email they sent us (written in German , they didn't quite understand why we were there and thought we had a reservation for their hotel, and made us jump from the restaurant to the cafe next door and then back to the restaurant. Appart from that minor detail, we found that the servers were rather friendly and the food was very good. The prices are a bit high considering our dishes had no vegetables as sides, but the quality was there. Not our usual choice when we come to Baden-Baden, but we were happy with our meal and will probably come back. However, seeing a photo posted here by another customer, we thought they had cheese fondue, but that wasn't the case, at least not today (maybe they don't have it during summer time? . Recommended"

Schon bei der telefonischen Anfrage, ob denn noch ein Tisch frei wäre, bekamen wir freundlich und höflich eine Antwort. Angekommen erfreuten wir uns am freundlichen, angenehmen Service, gutem Essen (Maronensuppe und Teufelssalat, beides sehr lecker! und gutem Bier im Glaskrug. Hier weiß man noch, wie man einen Gast behandeln sollte, damit er wieder kommt!"

"The restaurant is in Gernsbacher Straße, not far from the Caracalla Therme. In fact, I popped down that restaurant to have dinner after having plunged into the said hot baths.It’s a nice, gay and well lit up place with a good view over the street through a completely glassed door. The decoration though simple is rather attractive. As regards the music, it could be better. The day I was there one just heard a guy roar. Very unpleasant! That goes much to the detriment of the atmosphere. Therefore, albeit it’s Italian music the alternative consisting in silence would be much more appreciated.The food is good there, particularly the Italian dishes; not in vain it’s a pizzeria. I ordered spaghetti scoglio and it was very tasty though, in my case, hard to digest. The pizzas and all the other pasta dishes look also very good.I can’t say that the staff is very kind in that place as per my experience. In pursuance of the receipt concerned, I was served by the manageress who looked very efficient but didn’t endeavour to be affable.The prices are moderate. Therefore, since, as said, the food is tasty and well cooked, it’s not perhaps a place to miss in Baden-Baden."

I ordered kartoffel soup and a glass of wine from the region. the suppe was delicious, with cut sausages, but the color turned out to be kind of suspicious. yes, and the consistency of suppenpüre was also distrusted. I asked the waitress, she said that this pie soup is made from potatoes cooked in her dish, and the color is so purple because a special red-lila French kartoffel is used to make it. well done German! everything will work! even kartoffel dishes. but that did not stop me from eating this suppe with appetit! So when they go up the mountain - they can go nowhere - there is only one restaurant, go on."

"Wir waren bei unserem ersten Besuch im Bonito - damals noch Besitos - absolut begeistert. Leckere Tapas, tolle Cocktails, schönes Ambiente und sehr freundlicher Service. Bei unserem zweiten Besuch gestern waren wir leider alles andere als begeistert. Die Karte war veraltet und etliche Gerichte sowie Getränke nicht verfügbar. Das Essen an sich war gut, aber verbesserungsfähig. Bei einem Restaurantbesuch ist zu erwarten, dass in einer Knoblauchsauce auch Knoblauch zu schmecken ist oder eine Tomatensauce selbst gemacht ist. Die Cocktails waren sehr lecker und das einzig Empfehlenswerte. Das größte Manko allerdings war der Service. Sehr unfreundlich und nicht wirklich anwesend. Nach dem Essen haben wir eine halbe Stunde gewartet, ehe wir die Kellnerin bei ihrer Raucherpause stören mussten, da wir gerne noch etwas bestellen wollten. Auch aus wirtschaftlicher Sicht ist es zu bemängeln, wir hätten gerne einige Cocktails mehr getrunken, aber es war keine Bedienung für uns da und wir wurden auch nicht danach gefragt. Das war definitiv unser letzter Besuch. Schade!"
