"We have celebrated my mothers birthday at this restaurant. We had a nice table. The waiter was very nice and tried to make our stay as good as possible. The air was very stuffy though. Even when we asked if they could turn on the...aeration, they have simply refused and said that it is winter and that they turned off the heater, that’s all they could do! The food was a big disappointment. I have ordered a steak medium. I have received a totally raw steak. Given the fact, that the restaurant is specialized in meat, I expected better. I told the waiter that my steak was too raw for me, he kindly brought it back to cook/ grill more. It came back and was still raw. The side dishes had no taste and were not seasoned well. Most of the plates were still full, no discount was offered. We had to pay the full price! I was still very hungry after my visit. Overall, the waiter wasn’t to blame, yet the food was a big disappointment given the fact that the restaurant is specified in steaks. Not visiting again."

"After a week of overdosing on meat-based dishes, we were on a salad hunt! The Wirthaus has a complete, varied menu of traditional German and Swiss dishes and a rich array of local beers, but what grabbed our attention was the fact that they had four dinner salads listed on the menu posted outside. Two of us got the Schanzle Salat, a very nice large mixed salad with a few small lightly coated and sauteed fish fillets, and were very happy with the choice. The goulash my husband ordered was also good. Terrific local wine (Muller-Thurgau) and beers. The restaurant is on the lake in a beautiful location - we would have sat outside on the waterfront but it was chilly so we headed inside. We were not disappointed - beautiful, interesting interior design, downstairs bar area, upstairs terrace with tables looking out the glass roof. We just loved this place and highly recommend it. We spent a very reasonable 60 euros for an excellent meal with friendly, efficient service."

"we wanted to have dinner in the beer garden. the beer garden was almost empty and yet 7 waiters jumped around. none of them has been observing or addressing us. when we spoke to one of the waiters, whether we could get a card, he answered with a question whether we had reserved. we had not, but had just passed the beer garden. then he said that we should look for another table, because it was reserved (in a virtually empty beer garden) - and turned around and left.We then left the restaurant, since obviously none of the many waiter wanted to serve us ... (and no - we looked quite normal and were on a Sunday night trip :-))"

"Since it's here, it's one of my favorite coffees, that's exactly what Konstanz missed. It is a place without stress, you can really relax here and use the place as a meeting point. The service is neither cured nor treated as unpleasant, even if you spend hours. Food and drinks are all delicious, really all. There is a large selection and the staff is very attentive and very nice. Excellent coffee!"

"Merci is located at the entrance to the Lago Center. Some of the offering on the menu consists of wraps, pasta, beef, fish, salads, burgers, beer, wine and desserts.The atmosphere is nice with floor to ceiling windows with a view out to the sidewalk tables and the masses coming and going to the Lago Center. The place seems to have a nice, relaxed designed environment. Plastic flowers decorate most of the tables and counter and the seating is plastic chairs and/or synthetic covered seats or benches. I opted for the burger with fries (9.90€) and a beverage. A ketchup bottle is brought out to the table. The burger was ok with lettuce, tomato, sauce and what seemed to be garlic powder mixed in the burger patty. The fries were just terrible. If this is the best you can offer for fries then simply take them off the menu! They were shoestring fries, brought out in a bowl and I could immediately tell they were greasy. A cup full of greasy, broken pieces of shoestring fries, what a disaster!While dining, I saw (through the kitchen) a small deep fryer and two cans of food on the counter. In my opinion, I could only assume that the food in these cans were simply being poured out of the can and cooked or warmed up by the kitchen ‘chefs’. It certainly was not home cooked food. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. The sidewalk seating is nice on a warm day, but don’t expect much from the food. I would not visit again."

"Wir waren mit dem Gutscheinbuch mit 4 Personen angemeldet. Zu Beginn gab es leider ein Missverständniss mit dem Gutscheinbuch - und es wurde falsch gebongt. Daraufhin trat die Chefin an unseren Tisch im Garten und hat uns vor versammelter Gästeschaar - sodass es jeder mitbekam zusammengescholten. Diese Dame hat noch nicht begriffen das sie in der Dienstleistung arbeitet ... und wir keine mündigen Kleinkinder sind. So geht man mit seinen Gästen nicht um. Hätte Sie in ganz normalem sachlichen Ton Ihre Situation erklärt - hätten wir das verstanden. Aber die Gestik und vor allem der Ton sind ein absolutes No Go... In den bisherigen Gasthäuser sind wir bis spät in die Nacht gesessen und haben, weil wir uns überall wohlgefühlt haben, Nachtisch, Kaffee, Wein und Schnäpschenrunden bestellt. Dieses Lokal haben wir umgehend verlassen und unser Geld anderswo in Konstanz.ausgegeben. Die Pizzen die kamen war völlig geschmacklos...Nie mehr wieder Seekuh!!!"

"we were here for dinner and were thrilled by the location and the ambiente. beautiful spaces with large terraces. eating was very good. both appetizers, fresh homemade pasta and also the saltimboca alla romana were very good. here you can take the slightly elevated price. 5,90 euro for a bottle of water, however, are a bit shaky. which has disturbed us, however, was the service. our waiter was quite unfriendly and not very talkative, although not much was operating and much personal was present. a little more cordiality and better service (e.g. regarding further drinks, desserts, caffe or similar queries) would make you wonder. most has disturbed us, however, that when we leave none of the 6 (!) workers who have come to us have passed us. a pity about the overall concept - here would be more in it! and if the Swiss customers are missing one is sure to be happy again for satisfied local guests."

"Das La Grotta in Konstanz bietet eine gelungene Kombination aus traditioneller italienischer Küche und herzlichem Service – ein echtes Highlight für alle, die authentische und handwerklich gut zubereitete Gerichte schätzen. Schon beim Betreten des Restaurants wird man von einem äußerst freundlichen Chef empfangen, der einem mit seiner angenehmen, unaufdringlichen Art schnell in eine Wohlfühlatmosphäre eintauchen lässt. Der Service ist aufmerksam, ohne je aufdringlich zu wirken, was den gesamten Besuch sehr angenehm macht. Die Karte im La Grotta besticht durch ihre Bodenständigkeit und ihren Fokus auf klassische, handwerklich zubereitete Gerichte, die die authentische italienische Küche widerspiegeln. Unser erstes Gericht, das Saltimbocca alla romana, war ein Paradebeispiel für einfache, aber meisterhaft zubereitete italienische Küche. Das Fleisch war perfekt gegart – zart und saftig – und die Kombination aus Salbei und Parmaschinken in der feinen Weißweinsauce war einfach köstlich. Die Tagliatelle, die dazu serviert wurden, waren al dente und rundeten das Gericht harmonisch ab. Auch die Linguine zucchine e gamberi überzeugten durch ihre frische Zubereitung. Die Garnelen waren perfekt gegart, zart und aromatisch, und die Zucchini gaben dem Gericht eine leichte Frische. Der Knoblauch und die Weißweinsauce sorgten für den nötigen Geschmackskick, ohne zu dominieren. Die Linguine selbst waren ebenfalls auf den Punkt gegart und nahmen die Sauce wunderbar auf. Was das La Grotta besonders auszeichnet, ist die gelungene Balance aus Qualität und Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Für die Qualität der Gerichte und den exzellenten Service ist das Preisniveau mehr als fair – ein klarer Pluspunkt, wenn man bedenkt, dass hier nicht nur das Handwerk, sondern auch das Herzblut in jedem Gericht spürbar ist. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen: Im La Grotta bekommt man authentische, handwerklich geprägte Gerichte, die mit viel Liebe und Respekt vor der traditionellen italienischen Küche zubereitet werden. Der freundliche Service und das gute Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis machen einen Besuch hier zu einer rundum gelungenen Erfahrung. Ein italienisches Restaurant, das man definitiv weiterempfehlen kann – und auch gerne selbst wieder besucht. Tipp: Reservieren Sie frühzeitig."

"We had girls' meeting, long reserved and we were delighted. It was fantastic weather, we sat on the terrace and could really enjoy the food. "Service very good and attentive , Menu price 95 euro pro person with a 1d glass of wine with every course.The location is very nice and the atmosphere lovely . Made very welcome by the waitress and shown to a nice table with view .The food was just ok , Very welll presented but in some cases lacking taste or over salted . the starter was pork served with a apple compot and crumble , very nice but the apple crumble reterned in many of the courses again and again , seems that it goes with everything you can imagine . The main of squid was very tasteless served with fennel puree and fennel salad ( so salty ) saved only by the rissotto with was very tasty and would have been tasty without the squid ink that made it look like a rissotto from hell . A fish soup was one of the starters with a fish consumé that was lacking any taste at all with raw skrie fish slice , fish slice tender and good.Veal Glands , tiny nuggets in batter with a green and citrus puree served on cold pebbles , interesting and all three tiny morsels were consumed , nothing to blow you away and too tiny to say if they were good or not , could have been anything in the batter to be realistic , And dessert , not for anybody with a sweet tooth , creme brulee made with goatmilk, so salty and a salty goatmillk ice cream with ....... guess........apple crumble , well a quarter teaspoon of apple and a quarter teaspoon of crumble If you got a couple of hundren euros to spare and you like a WTF is on my plate for this much money experiance you will have a great time in this resturant . Food not good enough for a real gourmet experiance , price too high for what is offered"

"this is probably one of the worst food I've ever had in my life. only because the prices are cheap in comparison to other restaurants in this overrated city called constanz, does not mean that they can serve such foods of low quality. zigarre boerek (as it is called) extremely average with the lowest cheese quality you can find. 2. grilled vegetables overpriced and the yoghurt sauce from the dose on the dish without seasoned as meat and cheese, but I needed half an hour to find the meat inside. the most ridiculous place I've ever been, at least the young waiter was kind. even he was quite surprised after he had heard my opinion of her eating the world would not even survive this restaurant a month."

"The place is small, but the service and food is very good. There are a couple of seats inside in the front window and two stands outside the main entrance for a few to place their food while eating. Since my last visit to Konstanz, they have now added a patio seating area on the side of the building with about eight tables.I had the currywurst with fries combo (6.20€) which comes with a choice of mayo or ketchup. For the price it is a great deal and the staff will even bring your food to the table if you dine on the patio. All that being said, the wurst is very good, but I could not rate it in the same category as an original Berlin currywurst.Good food along with nice, efficient and courteous service!"

"We were staying at the Hotel 47 Grad and chose to dine at Ziegelhof as it was a 5 min walk away. We booked online using their website but when we got there they didn't have our reservation. Thankfully they had 2 spare tables and we sat in the garden area.Throughout Konstanz (and Germany) there are a large number of people who like to smoke which can ruin the dining experience but maybe because this restaurant is in the university area we were lucky enough to find that no-one was smoking.The menu was in German but the waitress guided us through it in English. I went for the schnitzel which can be up-sized to the "African" size. A true monster and well worth the 3 extra Euros. The food was very cheap and tasty and we enjoyed the meal. Recommended!"

"The food here is freshly prepared, and it's cheap. Plus, the ambiance is nice and friendly, definitely a notch above the "typical asian takeout" restaurant, if there is such a thing.So far so good.However, the dishes are not very authentic, most of the fresh herbs and spices which are the hallmark of the wonderful vietnamese cuisine are missing, the food here is bland and uninspired, the sauces ready-made, some of the meat deep fried. What you get seems to match exactly so many other mediocre south east asian restaurants which can be found all over Europe. One more star for the nice interior with beautiful large windows and another one for the friendly service. But the food alone, one star ... even the cheapest streetfood in Vietnam tastes a lot better, sorry!"

"a nice visit to the beach swimming pool wallhausen and in the ufer 39: delicious, solid food, friendly service, which immediately prepared us a shady kitten and brought a child chair for the smallest child. pasta, salad, flammkuchen, ice cream, everything tasted excellent. the flammable cake is not a TK-good for which you need a tin shear (as was presumed in a previous evaluation), because it was delicious and crispy-light. only the waffel did not meet our taste, although freshly baked. we are happy to come back!"

"Unglaublich.! Achtung liebe alle Familie! So etwas haben wir noch nicht erlebt..! Einfach nur frech, unfair, unproffessionel und Enttäuschung pur.! Wir, acht Personen (vier Eltern und vier Kinder möchten nur eine Reservation an dieses Restaurnat buchen. Zuerst haben wir gedacht machen wir die Online, geschriebend, da so schnell und unkompliziert ist! Nach 2 Stunden um etwa 11:10 Uhr als wir auch telefonieren zu bestätigen haben, war zuerst am Telefon eine Dame, eine Serviceangestellterin und leider konnte sie die Reservation noch nicht bestätigen, weil der Geschaftsleiter noch nicht da war. Kapazitat gab es noch aber es sollte zuerst der Geschaftsleiter damit sich kummeren. spät nachmittag um etwa 17:10 Uhr (6 Stunden später für ein Ja oder Nein..!!! endlich der Geschaftsleiter rüft uns an um zu sagen dass, er kann leider die Reservation nicht annehmen. Als ich ihm gefragt habe, ob der Grund ist dass die voll sind, er hat mir geantwortet ' 'Nein, wir sind nicht voll aber aus personlichen Grunden..???!!!!. kann er die Reservation nicht akseptieren..????!!! ' ' Waaaassss..???!!! Was bedeutet ' 'aus Personlichen Grunde..???!!! ' ' Haben wir etwas falsch gemacht, dass wir dort reservieren mochten..???!!! Oder kenne wir uns es war ein Problem..??!!! So etwas gehört GAR NICHT IN GASTRONOMIE, als ich auch Gastronome bin.! ABSOLUTE NON-GO für die Gastronomie, ABSOLUTE NICHT ZU EMPFEHLEN1"
