"We first went to Turkvaz 2 or 3 years ago when they had an extensive Turkish menu and it was amazing. They then switched to mostly pizza and everything was still ok. Recently, Turkvaz has dived in every area of quality. We ordered two weeks ago with the intention of the food coming before we had to attend an event. The food took over an hour to arrive on a quiet evening as it took the driver 35 minutes to travel less than a mile. Why? Because the old man in the blue Fiat 500 delivering drove up and down our road for 15/20 minutes looking for our house whilst driving up the kerb as he was on his phone using maps. I wouldn’t mind but it’s a perfectly normal, wide road and only has 6 houses!! Food was late, cold and not that nice, so that was a waste of £25 as it went straight in the bin and we had to leave. Fast forward to last night, nice family takeaway completely ruined by the food. We thought we’d give Turkvaz the benefit of the doubt as we have all eaten here before. It all just tasted bland like paper. The grease on everything was disgusting, the doner meat wasn’t fit for human consumption and the pizza (which they specialise in) was a box full of bland grease. No one felt particularly well after eating here. They also missed out the pitta. This is a fair review as we’ve all eaten here many times and can see the quality going down the toilet. Big improvements need to be made and we won’t be returning."

"We have been eating at this restaurant for a number of years and it’s such a great find. We are a half Persian family and so grew up with Persian stews and kebabs eaten both at home or in restaurants in London and of all the Persian restaurants we’d tried, the kebabs and hospitality at this place are the best. No ifs, no buts. It really feels like we’re eating at a friends house because there’s so much care and attention in both the food and the service. It tastes just like my aunty’s delicious food when she visited from Iran I’m baffled that others can say it’s not authentic on here when they’ve not grown up with Iranian food.Last night I brought some friends to try, many had never tried Persian food before and were blown away. The only disappointment was that they couldn’t finish their plates because they’d ate too much of the starters (not a bad problem to have! All of the food was delicious from the kashke badamjan to the joojeh kebab koobideh. Each time we visit, Ali always says to call in advance if there’s any items not on the menu we’d like them to cook you just don’t get that level of attention at other places.Thank you for hosting my friends and I last night and every other time we’ve been to your restaurant with family friends. We drive an hour each time from Maidstone/the Isle of Sheppey to come and we wouldn’t bother making the trip if it wasn’t worth it each time. Keep doing what you’re doing.Looking forward to seeing you all again next time I think we’re planning a trip next for my brother’s birthday in November and probably a few more in between to get our Persian fix!Ian Hajyzamanali"

"It 's rare I post a review on trip advisor. Most people seem to use TTrip Advisor to moan about somewhere they went and didn 't like or actually threaten a place with a bad review to try to get either a free meal or a heavily discounted one (sad but let 's be honest....true} ANYWAY, I only tend to post a review on somewhere if I believe it to be exceptional and this makes the grade. I grew up round here and many many years ago, this place was a run down seedy sort of pub. Now it 's a fabulous Boutique Hotel and Restuarant/Cafe and the short version from me is just WOW! I 'm fully aware of what the hospitality sector is going through at the moment as my wife works within it so naturally when we both get the chance to go out (which isn 't often enough) she is a fierce critic and spots every detail because it 's what she does herself. I on the other hand just say what I think! So........ given the Covid-19 stuff, this place had a great one way system which is not difficult to follow although I 'm sure someone will try! Tables and chair are socially distanced both inside and out in the garden with nice polite signs asking not to move furniture as it 's been placed for optimum social distancing. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. This is always a bit part of anywhere I visit if I 'm honest So on to the food and drink.............. We were recommended by a friend to come here and have breakfast. The coffee was amazing (apparently a local blend from Canterbury but I can 't remember the name) and had a great taste to it. Nice and strong and not wishy washy Then on to Breakfast................ I went for the simple and humble Bacon Egg Sandwich which you could have on a choice of breads. Not stingy with the bacon and the bread was lightly toasted. My wife had the Plymouth Rock which basically makes a Macdonalds Sausage McMuffin look positively anemic (see the picture I 've posted) and she loved every bite of it! We also liked that we were supplied with a nice ice cold bottle of water too (I presume tap water) which was a nice touch and worthy of mentioning as not many places do this and personally, I love it! All in all, our experience was one of great enjoyment, as I mentioned, when your wife has worked in the industry for almost 30 years and can herself do everything from Silver Service to proper Barista Coffee (hence why I 'm spoilt when it comes to coffee), it can make you a rather harsh critic but both she and I loved our visit today. Pulling off the experiences we had today I know are much harder given Covid-19 but they had all that sorted We only have 3 gripes. 1. Neither of us get much time off together and we not wish we did as we want to come back as soon as we possibly can 2. We wish we didn 't live round here then we could book to stay here in their hotel side and 3. We wish we 'd ordered the doughnuts too after seeing some being brought out for another table just as we were leaving They looked amazing! Like I say, I don 't use the Trip Advisor platform to moan. I use it to shout about somewhere that is worth shouting about. Independent businesses have got it tough at the moment given all the Covid-19 stuff so if you 're anywhere near here, go and pay the Falstaff in Ramsgate a visit. You really wont be disappointed!"
