"A long time back I gave this place a raving review… and I could have done so throughout the years after each and every one of our visits there. Now, with autumn here and the menu featuring game again, we quickly booked a table and wanted to enjoy (another) superb meal composed of different venison specialties. As expected, everything was delicious… but to our surprise, each order came on a single plate; meat with all the traditional game trimmings, Spätztle and vegetables. It was so crowded that the dish actually looked messy. Nothing stood out, especially not the meat which is supposed to be the featured part of the meal. And not only that, it was rather difficult to cut the fillet without pushing one or the other item off the plate. Again, the cooking was perfect (so was the service), but overloading a plate takes the joy away from eating."

This is a terrific restaurant near my home that always has a warm welcome. Interesting and seasonal menu with excellent value two or three course options for lunch. The team in the kitchen and on the restaurant floor really care about what they are doing and it shows in the quality of the food and dining experience. I have been a regular here for two years and can highly recommend it for a casual or special occasion meal.

One of the best restaurants in the region during the Volery family's time but since it was taken over at the end of 2023, unfortunately, it no longer has the same sound. The service is no longer there (just like the former employees), it's slow and the quality of the dishes has dropped drastically. Only the prices remained the same. My assets, recorded in the cash register, which I had to invite my clients disappeared! Each time bogus excuses only for the new owner to finally tell me that she didn't know. Theft !
