Baselblick Das Gasthaus Auf Der Britsche

Gestern war ich mit meiner Familie in diesem Restaurant essen und es war wirklich toll. Sehr leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!!

The location and view from the restaurant is really great. Everything else is a disaster; staff is not friendly, food was bland and not really warm and the atmosphere is no good.

It is a restaurant with friendly service. However, the dishes offered are not necessarily cheap. In this restaurant you pay the view. Attention: the retaurant is liked to be approached by bus companies, so that you could get seat difficulties gradually.

This is a family owned restaurant with excellent local specialities according to season, such as asparagus, butcher items, Martin's goose, fresh chanterelles, game dishes. The cuisine is genuine and unpretentious. In summer you can dine outside. It's pretty close to the Swiss border.

We were on short camper trip to the region, had booked a night on a nearby farm, and were surprised to find a good restaurant within walking distance. The food (fish, venison) was excellent, the service very friendly, and the prices very reasonable. If you...plan for a visit on a weekday evening, a timely reservation is recommended.

Da gerade Metzgete war, haben wir uns für die Schlachtplatte und das Kesselfleisch mit Kartoffelstock und Sauerkraut entschieden. Es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt, obwohl der Preis für die Schlachtplatte mit 19,50€ meiner Meinung etwas zu hoch war.Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich.Bitte unbedingt reservieren, da es immer sehr voll ist.Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

I was in Baselblick with my friends for dinner. As other reviewers write, the view from this restaurant is wonderful and they offer very tasty meal with good price. And this restaurant has something more than food and the view. The staff people are so...nice and helpful. One of us had a disability and caused a big trouble. The staffs helped us from the beginning to the end, and never lost their pleasant attitude to us. Baselblick is a really nice restaurant for eyes, the stomach, and the heart.

On arrival to the restaurant, we were seated in a pleasant dining room at a table that displayed the reservation with our name. A few minutes later, as we had ordered our drinks, what looked like a head waitress very rudely told us that a...mistake had been made and we could not stay at that table because it was a table for regular customers. We were then escorted to a tiny room that fitted three tables, and piled up chairs behind our backs. We had been there once before and the cuisine already is nothing special, so we decided to leave. After all, the region is full of excellent restaurants, so why put up with rudeness and a mediocre cuisine? The only asset about this restaurant is the view...

Wer es nicht kennt, hat was verpasst - die Gourmets aus Basel wissen es, zum halben Preis von Basel Stadt, besser, schöner, freundlicher und gemütlicher.Vom gut bürgerlichen Brunch oder Vesper, zu den echt gigantischen und abwechslungsreichen Salattellern bis hin zu den Delikatessen wie Rösti mit suure Läberli und natürlich die gut proportionierten Filets und spitzenhaften Cordon Bleus wird alles fein und mit Liebe gekocht, präsentiert und schnell und freundlich serviert.Dass auch Sonderwünsche wie frischer Chili, keine Zwiebeln, "Einpacken bitte" etc. kein Tabu sind spricht für das tüchtige und gastfreundliche Wirtepaar.Hie und sind die Saucen auch mal etwas zu salzig und die Salat-dressing...
