"Like most things my host Arnaud at Tartasenia got this recommendation right. The menu was small - which is good - but diverse - which is also good. Inventive and clever food ideas. I started with a foccacia and charcuterie type thing with an interesting pesto accompaniment and shared this with my friend who shared her cerviche of trout with me. Both were very good but my foccacia starter was preferred by myself. My main was a lovely piece of beef steak cooked 'cuban' style. It came with sweet potato fries and a spicy bean ragout thing. For me the beef was cooked perfectly. When I ask for rare I rarely get it rare. This was rare. One of the obvious first signs of whether a chef knows what he's doing is how well he can perform simple tasks like cooking a steak properly. He ticked that box. For my friend it was a little too rare so he, without complaint or offence, stuck back on the heat for a bit. Ticked that box too. The 2nd sign of a good chef in my book is if he looks like he eats well of his own food. Chef ticked that box too. Very good chef and a top bloke. The millefois desert was excellent too. The local wine was good. We ordered the more expensive bottle first. When we finished that we asked the lady serving us (the co-owner too I guess) about the cheaper variety of the local wine. She said it was practically as good. Telling. Service before profit is to be highly praised - and it will ensure repeat business so is a smart thing too. The service itself was brilliant. At 26 Euro for three courses this was excellent value. I rarely give 5 stars but this place deserves it. The cherry on the cake was sitting with the staff after service and after the rest of my party had left sipping a Ricard and chatting. When I asked to pay for the Ricard those sweet words 'no charge' came back and graced my ears. Brilliant. Probably the best restaurant in town."

"super . home smiling beautiful terrace with a nice view, and on the plate c is the fete. We took the pig's feet and confites worries all were excellent for the small legumes of season (few peas) to the fries.Dessert super also and all with a very friendly service.Thank you for this good time."

"Copious pancakes and fortunately that the waitress had a smile because when we came back we felt like disturbing the boss! She did the job and was adorable. Crêpes are sometimes curious with curry and rice but all tastes are in nature! The classic was very good."

"Situé à un endroit très touristique, c'est un restaurant correct et on y mange correctement. Je pense qu'il fait parti du haut du panier dans ceux du secteur mais étant justement un endroit attirant foule, ce n'est jamais une bonne chose car on sait que les gens ne s'y foulent pas pour fidéliser. Le fameux gastronomique étant fermé à notre passage, nous avons suivi les avis tripadvisor et google pour choisir celui-ci. Le rapport qualité prix n'y est pas. La cuisine est correcte, mais les prix à la carte sont excessifs pour le rendu (d'autant pour des viandes pas forcément françaises sur certains plats, ce dont le restaurateur a l'honnêteté d'afficher la provenance). Une assiette de fromages pour une tranche fine de brebis au même prix qu'un dessert, ce n'est pas ce que j'appelle un bon rapport qualité prix. Idem pour le gâteau basque pâteux et industriel. On en ressort avec une facture pour 2 plats à la carte équivalent à un menu complet de plus haut standing ailleurs. Un peu deçue pour une fois des recommandations tripadvisor... pour moi c'est du basique dans ce qui se fait dans les secteurs touristiques, il ne sort pas son épingle du jeu."

"A very warm welcome a super friendly staff especially at 3 p.m. when they stopped the service we showed ourselves as a hair on the soup. And they didn't hesitate to serve us to eat. An excellent omelette with girolles I should say more of the girolle with omelettes because the pieces of mushrooms were very fresh and consistent. The boss was very kind and listening to very good advice also for our walks and the lady in the kitchen with whom we had a very warm exchange is a blue cord!!!"
