"We had seen the Cafe in the morning while we were walking around the town but it was closed until 11am. We had been hoping for breakfast! We decided to return in the evening for a meal. We were able to sit outside in the...sunshine and started with glasses of ratafia as aperitifs. We ordered the eggs meurette and the charcuterie plate and our daughter had an omelette. We all enjoyed the food, my eggs were poached and served in a red wine sauce really delicious. We all chose puddings, a nectarine tart was a highlight, beautiful pastry and light crème pâtisserie. Very good homemade food and the restaurant shows a list of local food suppliers. Very enjoyable meal and evening. We would come back here if we stay in the area again."

we visited a few times for a beer on the terrace. we also came to a family dinner during the night market on Thursday night. it was a set menu and had a series of local products and directed. service is great and would. highly recommended.

We succeeded having a table at the terras. Got the real french feeling, personnel open to a little chat. Very good kitchen with some specialties. several local wines, beers. Tried two more times to go there without reservation, unsuccessful. So reservation recommended.

we had dinner in the cafe du nord, recommended by our hotel. it was a beautiful, very local and traditional restaurant. the staff was in service and the locally produced eating was a good and tasty. we forgot our sons teddy bear and it had the best position to get it the next day.

My review from a few months ago was genuine. The cafe was genuine smart, lovely too so I went back. Sadly, with some of the same faces still there, what I got was glum, sad, tired faces. Last time, there were smiles and I felt...welcome. Now few staff seemed to care if I was there or not. And I waited patiently! What I ate/drank was OK, but the pleasure of the place was gone; it did not feel happy and no-one was even ready to be cheerful. It is the summer! Wake up and enjoy your customers!!

Beautiful looking restaurant. Lovely quirky decor. Great looking menu. Sat outside with great house aperitif. But from then on it was a huge disappointment. The snails we ordered as a starter arrived with the main course. No wine as yet we waited and waited ....Still no wine. By the time it arrived we were half way through our main course. No bread either. Meat apparently fillet Charolais was very chewy. Had better and cheaper in far less pretentious places. Desserts were average definitely not a panecotta as described. Wouldn't have minded paying 35 euros per head if it had been perfect.

Stopped in Arnay-le-Duc for lunch and just happened to choose the Cafe du Nord and so glad we did. The entree of the day was a flavorful terrine that was better than many I'd had other places. Vegetables and a salad that accompanied the meal...were also very good and well prepared. While all this was very good for me the best was the creme brulee dessert which was richer than most I've had. Rather than the half inch of creme this version had three or four times the creme and was tastier than others I've had. It was a real treat with the cafe au lait. Sitting on the square the terrace of Cafe du Nord is a good place for people watching.

"Côte d'Orien, amateurs of gourmet restaurant, we made a stop on Saturday 15 October with a couple of friends and their 14-year-old daughter, happy to re-discover this high place of the Côte d'Orienne gastronomy that I had known at the time of Mr. Poinsot, happy to discover the cuisine of the new boss and her eggs in meurette since she champions the world of speciality. At the time of booking, the person kept telling us that this specialty was only served on Thursday..dommage, we could have come on a Thursday.... This evening was filled with surprises ... good and less good... Let's take the point: 1 : the general reception was good, pleasant and courteous with a young plutot team, see very young and very nice. 9/10 2: In terms of menu, we have long hesitated between that at 38 euros and menu tasting at 58 or 80 euros. The waiter offered us a bite to the special queen in the menu at 38 euros, we left on the one with entry, dish and dessert. Nothing to say... very good and very copyy. The greed I am couldn't even take cheese. Only small flat... the kitchen is a little salty.. 8.5/10 3 : In terms of service quality, it went well even if we were forgotten twice for the water carafe... once it passes, but twice (on two requests), it makes a little mess 7/10 4: we took a coffee to close the meal after a wait a little long (15 minutes) and we were served coffee maker.. a little warmed with paper-dose sugar (such as the local bistro) put in a cup (less than the local bistro). La, we realized we had to leave. Normal we were the last 1/10 5: At the end of the meal, the boss came to be photographed in the middle of the dining room 3 meters from us.. Not a word, not a smile, not a glance, but a half military round regulation direction the kitchens after the photo. It's a sense of reception a little special. -5/10. In summary, if you go to taste, choose your day well, but you should be satisfied. If you go a little like us to spend a good night together. It is necessary to reflect where maybe not to do like me, head of company in ties all week, I put a cool Jean basketball and doudoune outfit in sleeve. Yet the habit does not make the monk, but I believe a little.... damage! Will I ever return to question I? I don't know... By the way, I didn't talk about it, but with the wines and champagne, we paid a little over 700 euros."
