"Eating here is always a tasty treat! We come quite often and see familar faces in both staff and customers. Our treat this time was from the special menu which is sometimes available; we had home made minestrone soup and belly pork with black pudding...as our starters (the soup is always available on the normal menu, belly pork is on the special menu). Because Ive had it before I know the soup is home made from scratch and has big chunky veg in with just the right taste. The belly pork was to die for with crackling separate, lovely black pudding and a gorgeous creamy sauce. For mains we both had beef stroganoff from the special menu. I asked for it without mushroom and the chef was flexible enough to be able to do that for me. Loads of tasty strips of lean tender beef in sauce served with boiled rice. Extremely tasty! As we werent having dessert we also had a bowl of their gotgeous hand cut chunky chips to share as a side dish. A fantastic meal. For people wanting great value for money the lunchtime special is still served till 6pm which is the same minstrone soup or hand cut potato skins, any pizza or pasta from the main menu and ice cream or coffee all for £5.95. Absolutely amazing value, and cheaper than most takeaways!"

Visited for carvery today and it was absolutely spot on. The veg was cooked spot on, lovely Yorkie and nice thick gravy. Couldn't fault it

even if the eating ok service did not exist, even 15 had almost ended on a drink when the starter arrived. we were the only people there on a Thursday night

Called in for a family meal and yet again left over the moon. Great service, great food, great value and great friendly staff. Beautiful scenery and well kept garden's

the eating was disgusting, the pasta was terrible as soon as the eating came into the dining room, there was a smell of cleansing fluid that also tasted. worst meal I've ever had! will never go back

visited tonight. mango huhn no mango.napoli pizza salty like the hell! sure to say that we are not back. waitress, I want to say that she was rushed by her feet, but I really can't. to say, we will not come back.

We came for a Sunday lunch and were treated to a very hearty plateful of yumminess. We were greeted warmly by Stan and the service was attentive. Even with my challenging dietary requirements. The outside area is deceptively large and there were quite a few...kids having a ball in the play area.

4 of us visited this small but welcoming restaurant, a part of the dorset arms hotel. the food was well prepared and presented by our beautiful waitress rebecca.) the service was good and the price very reasonable. a very good house white wine supplemented the chicken dishes. well worth a visit, we will return safely in the future.

Food and atmosphere is great and economical, make a reservation to make sure you get a table. I like the chicken and prawn curry, I have it with rice and chips it's so creamy. All of the deserts are home made, including the cakes absolutely...beautiful, my favourite starter is the mussels served in a garlic and wine sauce with bread.
