"During our visit to Adwell House, we found ourselves near Sydenham and chose to have lunch at The Crown Inn. Both dishes were beautifully presented, generously portioned, and matched their descriptions perfectly. We enjoyed the Hanging Chicken Halloumi Kebab accompanied by a Greek salad, as well as the Smoked Haddock Fishcakes, both served with fries. There was a nice selection of real ales and refreshing lagers on tap, ideal for a summer day! The staff were friendly and attentive, striking just the right balance in their presence. We look forward to returning the next time we are in the area!"

Great village pub, very cosy and food was superb. I’d recommend the cheesy garlic bread! Small area for dogs is only negative as can be tricky to get a seat for them

Charming pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was exceptional, so I give it a 5 out of 5. The service was also top-notch, earning another 5, and the overall ambiance deserves a perfect score of 5 as well. Highly recommend!

Really great place for a snack, big meal or/and a drink! The staff was very friendly and attentive. All food that I've tried was delicious and the portions were generous. I dropped in last minute on a Friday and was pleasantly accommodated. The food and service were both exceptional. After a tough week, this was exactly what we needed. There was no hassle; everything was helpful and friendly. Even the little details were perfect, like the background music being just the right volume. We also found RESERVED Scrabble tiles on our table, ready for us to enjoy. We weren't rushed to finish our meal, which was wonderful. Overall, a fantastic experience. Price per person: £20–30.

What a gem this place is. House-sitting for some friends in Chinnor we decided to see where was good in the area for a roast, really glad we found The Crown Inn for lunch today. All the staff were so lovely and friendly, the food was absolutely delicious (we had 3 different roasts and two different desserts between us), there's a good range of drinks and the atmosphere and vibe of the pub makes you feel like you're in someone's house, it's a gorgeous building and with lovely decor. All 3 of us had a perfect Sunday afternoon there. Can't recommend enough
