Very disappointing. First time here and won’t be going back again. We thought we were in an Indian restaurant. Food was an insult to Italian restaurants.

After hiking a section of the Essex Way, we were thankful that Cucina Italiana was just a short stroll away. Our wonderful waitress provided excellent service throughout our visit. The pasta was fresh and accompanied by delicious sauces, allowing us to relax and truly enjoy our meal, paired with a good red wine. The light and bright decor featured lovely views of the local village church. It truly was a 'godsend' since the nearby pub doesn't serve food—no chef, apparently! Food: 5

What a lovely restaurant! We received a warm welcome upon entering and decided to enjoy a quick drink at the bar while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. Once seated, the service from our waiter was prompt and polite, and our food came out hot and fast—oh, and it was absolutely delicious! For starters, we had the fried mozzarella, followed by the pan-fried veal with spaghetti and the shrimp with spaghetti. Everything was fantastic! Plus, it was incredibly affordable!
