"I was surprised at limited menu choice for dinner for large hotel chain. I didn’t like any of the starters or deserts and I am not a fussy eater. I ended up with a burger as that was the only thing I liked on the menu, it was very nice but I was expecting something a bit better for my evening meal. My husband had lamb which was Ok but not fantastic either. For some reason all the steaks had an additional £10 supplement don’t know why as they were only simple 8oz steaks not huge T bones or Wagu beef."

Stayed for a couple of nights, food and restaurant all good. Would stay again and breakfast was good. Shame it rained though.

We were staying in the hotel and opted to eat in the restaurant on the first night. The meal was so good that we ate there again on the second night.

Stayed at the Marriott after spending the day at the races. It is a fairly limited menu but enough of a selection and the food was great along with the service.

we had a set menu which i normally disslike as it normally means a bit budget, not in the Cyprium Bar and Grill though. this was a top class meal, served well and left the table full. top marks !

Great value onXmas day. Lovely meat and turkey well cooked. Good selection of veggies but no Carrots. Attentive and enthusiastic staff. A great alternative to the usual slog of preparation at home

The bar is tiny. We had drinks there before dinner, but the restaurant staff won 't come to you with menus, and they won 't let you order in the bar. Come through to the restaurant when you are ready to order.

The grill has a limited card and limited activity. Whilst there were plenty of tables free, we had to wait for about an hour they must have been short of staff. The quality of the rib eye was good, the béarnaise was not exceptional.

We made a stop for a burger in the bar. The personal in the bar was friendly and sweet. After we waited for about 40 minutes the burgers was served burned, cold and greasy. We sent them out and got new once after 10 minutes. This time not burned but real hard fried with a crust. Paying about 15 pounds for a burger should get you a realt tasty one with a golden edge to it.

We must have caught them on a bad night. Got our order wrong when the wrong dish arrived the manager tried to blame us before double checking with the waitress who took our order, then we could hear the manager grumbling about us to other staff. We were offered free drinks that then appeared on the bill. The steaks we were served were more gristle than meat, one meal came out 10 minutes before the other and everything was over priced. Really disappointed.
