"das weisse haus is a bit out of the way but close to the Museumshafen Oevelgönne should you be making a visit. It is situated virtually on the banks of the Elbe east of the fish market. The service was good, albeit a little impersonal,...and the food was well presented and cooked. I had filet steak and it really was cooked to perfection and very tender. The accompanying vegetables were also cooked to perfection praise to the chef. The restaurant is quite small but the garden allows further seating when the weather allows. I would recommend reserving a table."

the sommelier on our cruise ship recommended us the white house and although it was a bit from the city, it was lovely! we had German weeping and fish and meatballs to eat all delicious!

very accommodating service in a beautiful location. the food was very delicious and the wine selection is excellent. the portions are large and it tastes excellent. we will definitely come back!

the white house offers some interesting set menus that can be found on the website. Although I'm not vegan, I decided to go for the vegan menu and I must say I was pleasantly satisfied. ingredients are fresh and are treated with care....Dishes are well presented and everything tastes fantastic. However, the menu lacks the wow factor that innovative element that other restaurants have in a similar price range.

We spent Friday evening at the Weisses Haus where we went for the Rindchen Menue and the Spargel Menue, respectively. Both course menues were paired with carefully chosen wines per course! Excellent food and excellent choice of wines. While the menues were not...cheap for Hamburg, they offered real value for money! We would go back any time. The restaurant is quite far away from the city centre. Tip: Take the ferry boat from Landungsbrücken to Övelöne and combine your meal with a pleasant ferry ride!
