"I've been at this restaurant a few other times and have always enjoyed it. It's our go-to place for Raclette. The restaurant is outside of Gstaad in a small and beautiful village called Rougemont. The name of the restaurant is "du Cerf". What could be better!? Our party of 4 adults and 2 girls under age 14 began our meal by ordering an appetizer of a plate of dried meats (with cornichons and pearl onions). We were surprised how generous the plate or large platter was - much too much for us. We were then served 2 very large pieces of delicious, fragrant raclette cheese - each chunk in its' own heater. (We ordered only 5 servings instead of 6 since portions have proven large in the past). Well, there was enough cheese to feed 7 or 8 people easily. And it was so delicious with the little, perfectly steamed potatoes. I've previously given it a 5 star review and the raclette during this visit still gets 5 stars. However, when we got the bill, we were charged for 2 platters of dried meats ($56 instead of $28). The waitress shouldn't have assumed a party our size wanted 2 plates/platter. Therefore 1 less star. We still had a lovely celebration, but be clear on what you don't want.... I will still go back but will order 4 portions for 6 people of the raclette. Bon Appetit!"

One of few restaurants that offers vegetarian dishes in Rougemont this restaurant is a favourite. Beautiful terrace delicious dinner and good service. Highly recommended.

Kultig. Bestes Fondue in der Gegend und gemütliche bukolische Atmosphäre. Vor ein paar Jahren die Besitzer gewechselt, aber immer noch die gleiche Stimmung wie vor fast 50 Jahren

Seit Jahren besuchen wir das Le Cerf in Rougemont und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Wir hoffen sehr, dass mit den neuen Besitzern das Le Cerf den einmaligen Charme behalten kann! Service und Food hervorragend. Die einzige Empfehlung die wir machen können: unbedingt vorgängig reservieren!

Schweizer Küche in diesem schönen Almhütten-Restaurant. Wir besuchten in der ruhigen Jahreszeit, was bedeutete, dass es wirklich nur Einheimische gab, die speisten. Ausgezeichneter Service. Essen hervorragend. Terrasse mit Blick auf die Berge und das Tal. Toller Ort für echte Schweizer Erfahrung.

tripadvisor ist scheinbar nicht auf dem neusten stand..... wir waren nach fast vierzig jahren stammgast, heute im neuen, verjüngten, aber immer noch authentischen, wieder eröffneten cerf. herzlicher empfang, staunen über das geschmackvolle „lifting“ und haben wunderbare crudités vorspeise, raclette und fantastische meringues mit doublecrème genossen !! wir haben uns sehr über die karte gefreut, die auch nicht fondue liebhabern etwas feines anbietet. . happy to be here again !!schön dass es euch wieder gibt !!

We are regulars to Hotel Rougement and Spa to the authentic historic village of Rougement.The hotel restaurant and Cafe du Cerf are overseen by renowned Chef Edgar Cafe du Cerf is very unpretentious and for all appearances is like a simple bistro with traditional Swiss alpine decor but here the food talks We ate here three times and in the past we have always had the raclette with all the meat condiments and cheeses all locally sourced nothing beats this but on our second and third visits this time we decided to venture into other parts of the menu and what a treat. The 'emince de veau ' in a red wine reduction with rosti was 'cloud heaven ' and we had to come back for another bite of the ch...
