We dined in here on the evening of 17th of August and I think it's worth coming to Sunderland just for this place! The food was super tasty,the staff extremely attentive and the atmosphere was so cosy and relaxed. We got carbonara and pizzas and honestly I think it was the best we had! We were 2 adults and 2 children and our needs were accomodated perfectly. I would absolutely go there again if I am ever in Sunderland Service: Dine in

I was quite disappointed with my visit. I ordered a carbonara, expecting a traditional recipe with egg yolk, but instead received one made with cream and bacon. I also tried the porchetta panini, which tasted rather bland. The restaurant seems to rely on the fact that it's the oldest Italian establishment in the area, but that's the only accolade it seems to have. Unfortunately, there was nothing authentically Italian about the experience. Ratings: Food: 2, Service: 4, Atmosphere: 3.

We visited Gabrieles on July 22nd and had a wonderful experience. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, making our visit enjoyable without being overbearing. The presentation of the food was excellent, and everything was cooked to perfection—piping hot and delicious. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend this place and would give it a 5-star rating. It's easy for people to complain, but I believe we should also take the time to appreciate great service! Ver carta
