Great atmosphere and food for dinner on a Saturday before setting out to party. Staff are very friendly and serve you with a smile. Look forward to visiting again.

Nice busy little place serving Saarland regional dishes and hearty meals. Excellent quality and great service. Some exceptional german wines and fantastic value for money.

Had an overnight stay in Saarbrucken on way back from Italy. This restaurant was just around the corner from our hotel. No English menu but we managed to order the right dishes. I had steak and my wife had salmon. Both were excellent with sizeable...portions. Ver carta

Recently staying in Saarbrücken for work and enjoyed several meals at gasthaus Zahm, local specialities like tafelspitzen, baked potatoes with sour cream and chives and especially delicious super dry aged entrecôte with sauteed mushrooms, onions and chili peppers.

Leider hat mit dem Besitzerwechsel auch die Qualität gewechselt. Kein Vergleich mehr zum wirklich ausgezeichneten Essen vor einigen Monaten. Die Hoorische schmeckten wie gerollter Kartoffelbrei vom Vortag und die Panade des Schnitzels war weder locker, noch knusprige und fad abgeschmeckt. Der Beilagensalat war in Ordnung.

We were staying at the Motel One and this restaurant is right around the corner from the hotel. We wandered in one evening on our way back from the Christmas Market and had a really nice meal. A small restaurant and nothing fancy but good...food and a very helpful staff. Our German is very limited is so was their English but they were very willing to help. Had the filled dumplings and they were very good. Would definitely recommend this place. Ver carta

I´ve been to restaurant Zahm with colleagues. We chose our menus beforehand, so I don't know the other food they have on the menu. Like probably most other restaurants in Saarbrücken, the choices we were offered were a little on the meaty side. I requested...something vegetarian and was not disappointed, I had a tasty salad with goat cheese and kind of a vegetable soufflé. Servings were plentiful. Our waitress was attentive and nice but got a little nervous past 11 pm. The toilet is quite small and needs some repairs. The wine selection is quite good.

The Mr I took my parents to Germany to meet his parents tour them around a bit our first stop was dinner at Gasthaus Zahm talk about starting things out right! Inside the place reminds me of a traditional English or...German pub lots of dark wooden tables and chairs as well as lots of people in to enjoy a beer or some nibbles Mom had a Sander (Pike) Fish Fillet w/ veggies flaky moist, Mom said that fish was a winner. Daddy had some kind of "Pot De Feu which was like an American Pot Roast he said it was absolutely superb w/ its tender beef, veggies, potatoes all served in a soup like broth The Mr I had the Risotto theirs was made w/ Barley had roasted red peppers zucchini. I'm not keen on negative reviews, as everyone is entitled to an off night, bit the experience was pretty shoddy. Was a busy Saturday night in Saarbrucken, World Cup quarter finals playing everywhere... and we were a party of 7 that hadn't booked anywhere on...an overnight stop over. We checked with the restaurant if they could take us, they said yes and led us to the table. Staff were pleasant and helpful. This was about 8pm. We ordered drinks, food, one of which was a mixed platter of cold meats as an entrée. The mixed platter arrived an hour later. An hour. For sliced cold meat. The waitress was apologetic and as we were in no rush (at that point), we just ordered more drinks. The platter... Ver carta
