Gasthof Neuwirt - Carta

Serves a good range of typical Bavarian food and beer. Can get busy at times so its wise to book a table especially when trade fairs are in town.

Very nice venue with below average food and ruined by rude personnel. If it had not been a business dinner for a larger group I would have left mid dinner.

If works or whatever brings you to Garching, I would definitely recommend this place for dinner. The beers are very good, food is amazing and the services is kind with quite decent English. Ver carta

Nice small causy restaurant attached to a small hotel. Nice garden for hot months. Prompt service by owner, good traditional cuisine, beer, deserts, etc. really worth trying for no thrill food & atmosphere.

This is my normal restaurant when I visit Garching, typically have dinner here. The interior is cosy, there is also a nice beer garden in the outside when the weather is good. The food is typical german food, with generous servings.

I went with a group of friends and it was after the typical German dinner time (8.30), but the waiter was very impolite and intolerant...when we asked for a dessert he said the kitchen was closed, but he didn't seemed very sorry... I took cordon blue and it was full of oil...I won't come back, I'm sure... Ver carta

The food here is really great and very authentic homestyle Bavarian food! The wait staff is sometimes a bit short on pleasantries, but they still deliver good and fast service. Many locals eat here, which is always a good sign! I love their Schnitzel with mushroom sauce and spatzel! And certainly get desert here, too! Plus, anywhere that has Franziskaner Weissbier on tap is OK with me!

Ok, we were a large party, over 40 ppl. But this should deserve a better service, not worse!Rude waiters, 3 hours to get 3 courses on a set menu. A whole dish spilled,over a suit - without excuses. A glass fell on the floor and was left there broken for over 10 minutes...The food...nothing memorable, actually not good. The duck was overcooked even if tasty. Not even the pleasure of good typical food.... Not recommended at all

This is the worst place I have been to in and around Munich area where I am a frequent visitor. It is an awful and horrible place in every dimension., The waiter was the worst wait staff I have ever encountered anywhere in the world. If you look for a restaurant in Garching, there are incomparably better choices such as Motti Mahal, Farmers Steak House, El Greco. If you are looking for a traditional cuisine Augustiner down the road is an excellent choice. Ver carta
