We had an awesome culinary experience at Giallozucca tonight. The owner is very friendly and has fantastic recommendations for drinks. The food is fantastic and surprising. High prices for the quality offered... €20 for a dry and burnt sandwich accompanied by burnt fried vegetables. Also unfriendly service and broken chairs. I found myself very well, the place is quiet and welcoming, the staff is friendly, approachable and competent, we spent a nice evening overall. I only have a few regrets about the food, I found the pumpkin tortelli too sweet, but the dessert was spectacular. We ended up here by pure chance (also because restaurants in Mantua have strange closures) and it was a wonderful surprise! The owner is uniquely friendly and kind!!! After all, you either have the vocation to do this job or it's better to leave it alone! A mostly typical menu, but above all within the reach of people who have problems with gluten like me!! We ate two first courses, a typical Mantua risotto, delicious, and pumpkin tortelli with sausage that were equally excellent! Giardiniera as a side dish and finally two typical gluten-free desserts: sbrisolona and Belgian pudding: truly a fairy tale!! I thank all the staff for their kindness and the quality of the dishes (sublime). The dishes are changed every month and this, in my opinion, is really positive because it demonstrates the great creativity that resides in this magical place. You can perceive the love for art and cooking, and this union has achieved a profound synergy, so powerful that it pervades the entire space. The location is unique and full of originality, the cuisine not only includes typical dishes (which have their own style) but also delicious dishes for celiacs and vegans, the desserts are divinely good, the prices are super fair (water wine appetizers second course 25 approximately per person).
