"My family and I visited the Goldcroft Caerleon today. My aunty, whose birthday it was, booked a long time ago and also rang ahead in the week to remind them of our booking (there was 17 of us). We arrived on time and our table wasn’t ready. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all so it appeared as though they weren’t expecting us. We had also pre ordered as per their request. The waitress then started handing out menus. We then had to remind the waiting staff we had preordered. They didn’t have our pre orders so luckily we had them all written down and could hand them over. When the starters arrived they were a soup, 1 children’s meal plus a gluten free mushroom dish short. I had bruschetta which was basically chopped up peppers and tomatoes on a muffin. They got all our main orders correct, which was great. My wife and I had the beef dinner which we found beef average. Some of my party wanted a desert. We weren’t offered desert and I’m pretty sure we saw the kitchen staff leave, which would explain that. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience and I won’t be coming back in a hurry."

Warm welcome and ordered bottle of wine at bar. Taken to table waited 40 minutes before we had to ask for someone to take our order. Food was excellent, wine a bit expensive but nice.

We had two Full Monty roast dinners; beef, lamb, pork and chicken with a huge Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings. It was absolutely stunning! Can't wait to move here and make it a regular treat.

Great dinner and drinks with my wife again thanks to the GC team. Splendid atmosphere, food and service. The team are top notch. Dinner was full of flavour and at great prices. Many thanks to Rosheen and the team!

What a great discovery! I have dined at this restaurant multiple times and have always been impressed by the exceptional service and delicious food. Dominic is very attentive and welcoming. Big shoutout to the chef and all the staff.

I visited the restaurant on a Friday around lunchtime. It seemed like we were the only ones dining as there were only a few people in the beer garden. I opted for something from the lunch menu and found that the fish and chips were delicious. The batter was seasoned with dill and the chips were outstanding. The burger was also very good and the portions on the lunch menu were generous. The service was top-notch, with no complaints to mention. Just keep in mind that if you visit the Goldcroft and drive, you will need to park on the street.
