"We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food is absolutely delicious, there is a wide variety of choices, the atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff are all very friendly. It is a great spot in Donaghadee and well worth a visit. You could have a great night out here as there is a wide variety of drinks too. Parking: There is a carpark where you can park your car. "The chowder is great, although today we only got 1 slice of wheaten instead of the usual two not a big deal but thought it was worth mentioning. Service was a bit slow today and the place wasn't all that busy so not sure what happened there but the staff are very friendly. My main was the haddock, which I wasn't a massive fan off, the batter tasted a bit overdone which could be due to the oil it was cooked in. It was good, but just not for me. The chips I got were also not amazing and felt like they were perhaps sitting under a heat lamp for longer than needed (again could be down to the slow service). Dessert was the chocolate brownie, and this was very good. Service is usually on point, so tonight was obviously just a one off. Overall very good, and will be back."

"Good for an early tea, not for a weekend night out, more of a diner feel. quick stop for a casual bite. A friend and I took our elderly parents for a Christmas evening. Compliments to their chef food was good. Staff nice. Just a shame on a Saturday night in December it closes promptly at 10pm music is turned off and they mop the floors around you. We took the hint and moved out to front the porch to wait on our lift which was on the way, we were then ushered onto the street by the owner, on what was a bitterly cold and windy night, fortunately not pouring. We left disappointed. I wouldn't return and it was a sad end to a lovely night it's a shame that we had already left the 20% tip. To summarise it's more suited to the large footy team crowd that popped in for a quick pre bite and shots before hitting the town not for a night out at a restaurant if you want to catch up."

"Just popped in for a quick unplanned lunch. We got offered a number of places to sit and chose the bar area, with a nice fire blazing. We both choose from the the specials menu. I had the flat bread and my wife had the pulled pork sandwich. I raised an eye brow when the flat bread arrived. It was simply a piece of supermarket pitta, uncooked. On top of it we a few dices of overcooked pork, some pickles and a drizzle of sauce. I was affronted that this dish was £12 for an ingredient cost of less than a £1. I understand that restaurants are having a difficult time, but that goes both ways. If you are going to charge excessively, make sure the culinary experience matches. My wife 's pulled pork was on ciabatta, but the pork was excessively 'wet ', not because of the sauce, but simply the water content. As a result the bread was a soggy mess. On a positive note, the chips served with the pork were excellent. We finished our food in muted silence, I paid the £32 bill, but mentioned to the barman my concerns. He said he was sorry to hear that, and would pass my concerns to the chief ... Sadly, with money becoming tighter, we will think carefully on where we dine again. So disappointed, in what is a great venue,"

"Visited on Saturday when the Ulster Scots event was on so it was busy. This is my first time back since its reopening. As before, go forward to the till to order past people waiting for their order) but be wary of the pricing. I thought I read on the board as did my friend) a can of pop was £1.00 but checking my bill afterwards outside, it turns out they are £1.70 each. A 8oz Hawaiian burger £7.95) was described by my friend as tasty but alas no extra chips were included as you would normally expect. I had the sausage supper which had 2 sausages, very tasty £6.40). The amount of chips where enough for one certainly and I did share as my friend was in need lol. If you have a large appetite, you will have to order accordingly, in my opinion. Probably a sign of the times, re portion sizes. No-one asked about ketchup napkins weren't provided/seen; plastic forks are on the counter and salt/vinegar were enquired about before wrapping. N.B. They don't sell ice-cream now!"
