good meal last night wonderful, back to this excellent restaurant. well done niki and maria. we all enjoyed the food steaks, halibut, stroganoff, all super.

service excellent, beautiful bottle amarone cheap. red mullet starter excellent. steaks cooked as desired. broccoli cheese side delicious. great experience, jigjly recommend a visit.

You seldom find a traditional steak house like this. Tonight was a pleasant trip down memory lane. The restaurant is as it was 30 years ago and yet is immaculate. The food, in this case steak was second to non and served with pride

What a find! Old school service and 10 out of 10 for the cuisine. Randomly found this restaurant and my...what history it has. The service and food (I had Steak Chasseur) is the vilest in Hull by a mile. True appreciation to the two lovely...lady owners.

Step back in time to wonderful food and great hospitality. The sort of place that does a prawn cocktail (really well) and a steak Diane to die for tasted amazing. Very knowledgeable for gluten free options, which was reassuring. Wonderful hosts and great cooking....Haven’t been for a few years, but won’t wait a few years before we go back again.

so satisfied the restaurant lantern has reopened, subtle changes in the dining area and beautiful new toilet areas since the last visit. this place is all about the amazing service they receive, the best steaks in the city and cooked to perfection. the staff are attentive and friendly, niki and her sister (I cannot remember her name are fantastic host cook, courteous, efficient and always on the hand to refill a glass. many thanks for a beautiful evening we will be back soon.

Visited with friends on a quite night, but really enjoyed the meal and service. Steaks cooked to perfection, veg too. Silver Service at the table, not seen that in years, lovely blast from the past. No vegetarian option on the menu though, luckily there was...fish. Veg and chips etc all charged extra but they were generous portions and in future would share them, wouldn't describe it as greek food as some do, only moussaka on the menu. In summary would certainly go again as a treat, or special occasion, but a tad expensive.

Really sorry but ours wasn’t great at all. We used to like here and the same inside but the food is nowhere near as good. The staff are lovely and whilst the service was very good the time between starter and mains was far too...quick (less than 5 mins). Both steaks were nice but both over cooked. The fried rice was very greasy and the scampi batter was too thick. The salad, jacket and halloumi cheese were nice and the cauliflower cheese and mushrooms were superb. Expensive for the quality and hard to criticise in this great old restaurant.

a fabulous old school culinary experience that they do not find in hull nowadays. a really warm welcome, we sat in the comfortable bar area for drinks while we went through the menu, gave our order and then after a short time we were shown on our table. my two sons had sirloin steak who were cooked to perfection, I had a fantastic porterhouse steak, full of taste and my parents had both seabass. the sweet does not come with the meal, but that means that they can choose what they want, and with the meal they are served silver, they decide about their portions. our table ordered three desserts as two of our party were full. a pretty nice end to a great meal.
