"There are so many great restaurants in the Place du Forum and I think we read every menu before landing here. We were quickly greeted and seated under an umbrella. We had already read the menu and knew exactly what we wanted: Salad Camarguaise. While waiting on our food we enjoyed watching the people in the square...seems like everyone in Arles was at the square right then. No matter, we were cozy and cool under the umbrella. Our salad arrived and we were so glad we only ordered one, because it was just the right size for the two of us. The lettuce was cold, the tomatoes were perfect and it was simply a wonderful salad! The service here is friendly and attentive. It was the perfect experience on a hot summer afternoon."

We ate here a couple of times, once lunch, once dinner. For the area it is good value with reasonable quality traditional bistro dishes. Daube is recommended. Good service.

It's hard to find fresh corn in France, but this quaint restaurant with outdoor seating has the best corn salad! This place also frequently has live music during lunchtime.

the time of a small port of call in arles, we found the shaded terrace of this small restaurant. On the dish of the day, duck magret with homemade fries, excellent. Smiling server and listening. brief a recommended address.

Food was not especially good, meat was not tender. And the service was awful. The young lady lets us almost 1 hour without checking our needs. And she yelled on us when we tried to get her attention to have coffees. We took our coffees in another place. We did NOT recommend at all.

It was awful. We came here for lunch during visiting photography festival. Food was extremely terrible. Salad looks and also tastes like vomitus. My beef tartare was like beef mince directly came from supermarket beef counter. Awful! Please think it through if u wanna order any food here.

Although this restaurant is in the centre of the Place du Forum its home bar is just off the square and quite authentic. At lunchtime we could sit outside as long as we wanted with a drink and watch people of the world go by. The bar itself seems to be frequented by the French and you have to go inside to be served by an unfriendly barman. Having negotiated all this enjoy yourself!

Went here for dinner one night. Ordered a rib eye steak medium-well, as after a week in Paris we had noticed that the French like their meat a little less cooked than us Americans. Steak arrived and was still very rare (not edible) in the center. Also meat was very chewy and didn’t look like a rib eye. Sent it back to be cooked a little more. Came back 5 minutes later cold and still undercooked. I don’t even think it was put back on the grill! One of the diners I was with found hair in his salad. Terrible!

"This restaurant is part of a hotel in a very impressive 16th century building. It looks very classy. However, the night we were there, there must have been some serious problems in the kitchen (or maybe it is always like that . We started with a shared plate of charcuterie which took a long time to arrive – how long does it take to arrange the cold meats on a plate? We then waited a very, very long time for our main courses. While waiting, we saw a dispute at another table involving the maître d’ and resulting in plates going back to the kitchen. We had both ordered duck à l’orange which came with Camargue rice. The rice appeared to have been baked in the oven and was so crisp and dry that it resembled a cereal bar. The ‘orange’ was not the usual sauce, but instead was four cubes of orange that appeared to have been scorched on a grill. They added nothing to the dish. It had been suggested that we should share a side of seasonal vegetables. These turned out to be big chunks of boiled potatoes (with rice! , a boiled root vegetable and a couple of dry artichokes. We had interchanges with two servers and the maître d – all were cold and brusque. We lived in France for more than 20 years and appreciate the fact that the French like to take their time with meals, but there is a big difference between leisurely and glacially slow. Perhaps we were there on a bad night, others seem to have had a better experience."
