"This place is expensive but when you consider the care that goes into making things just a little bit different, it is worth spoiling yourself once in a while. Many different kinds of bread you can get green, red or even black sandwiches (I...think the black is coloured with squid ink). My favourite is a round bun cut into several layers, with chicken, lettuce, tomato, hard boiled egg and mayonnaise, all held together with a toothpick. Tables outside and inside, in the tea room at the back. The service can be a bit unusual which is why I have given four stars instead of five. Don't be in a hurry."

The food is exceptional BUT BIG PROBLEM, the staff is very arrogant, you would say in Paris, disgusted that Moutarlier, a small Swiss chain has such arrogant staff as that.

The person who served us was pleasant and the cakes were really good! I also had a fresh fruit juice with the squeezed fruit when I ordered (it was missing a little ice cubes) and it was very good. I recommend.

The desserts, as usual, are excellent. The coffee service is very fast, the servers are attentive but don't have a smile. If you want to eat a dessert you have to serve it and bring it to your table to eat it, I find that a shame. At Moutarlier Villeneuve you are served coffee and dessert at the table.
