"The restaurant was recommended to us for their mussels and seafood dishes. So we decided to drive over from Padstow on our way home on the last day. It’s a wonderful little restaurant which is dog friendly which was good for our little dog. We had grilled sardines as starter's and both of us had a kilo of mussels which were absolutely delicious. Our little dog loved the sardines, in fact so much a lady on the next table came over to give her some of her own. We all laughed at this including the staff. The staff and owner are all super nice people. I asked the owner where we could possibly buy some fresh sardines from to bring home with us. He immediately asked would 12 be ok and packed them on ice for us to bring back home to Nottinghamshire. I cannot praise the staff so much, we will definitely go there again when we are in Cornwall. Thank you Sam’s for making the end of our holiday unforgettable. Hope to see you all again soon Nina and Mike"

Great place! Worth a visit but make sure you book in advance for dinner. It is very popular and gets busy. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Wow, what an amazing restaurant! My wife and I enjoyed locally caught fresh scallops followed by a delicious seafood bouillabaisse. The portions were huge, and everything was incredibly fresh. Honestly, it was the best dining experience we've had while hiking through the Cotswolds and Cornwall. The staff were attentive, professional, and courteous. I’d give it 5 kangaroos! As for kid-friendliness, they offer kids' meals, and a young family seated next to us had their children enjoying fish and chips.
