Great schnitzel at the Nordbanhoff. It was not too expensive, and our group of four had a full and super lunch. Beautiful location. Makes you want to catch a train to Berlin. I will return. Ver carta

Have visited this restaurant on many occasions whilst working in Krefeld over the last ten years. Good, wholesome German dishes. Don't be afraid to share a table with the locals in normal German tradition!

Nice ambient, its a little bit like a brewery restaurant - friendly & fast service - good choice of food, also regional specialties - taste and quality super - and at the end is the bill for the drinks and food absolut reasonable.

Original restaurant where authentic German food is served. When we went there the place was packed but still no compromises where made with respect to friendliness, speed of service and quaility. To be highly recommended but please make a reservation or it might be a problem to get a table. Ver carta

Great Place for reasonable lunch with typical German dishes.... Fresh prepared and no convenience products used in the kitchen. The boss/owner is always around and staff is well trained and friendly...of course during peak hours a reasonable waiting time is normal bit food is served fast.... Outdoor seating is a nice and not too hot.

Although I was very pleased at what this typical German restaurant offered in the past, my recent visit at lunch time was not so pleasant. I ordered a dish (asparagus, ham, hollandaise sauce, potatoes) that was a special lunch offer for $ 18.50. It was rather disappointing because the asparagus was not cooked long enough until tender. Although this dish was on the lunch menu you had to wait about 30 minutes until it was served.

Carnival time in Krefeld is hectic and we decided to visit for a family birthday meal on Ash Wednesday. Booking a table was the first problem but we managed one for 8 pm. When we arrived at 7.50 the place was absolutely full with many extra tables adding to the crush, but there was our booked large table awaiting with personal greetings from the owner. That was the first plus point. Our waitress for the evening greeted us also and as our guests arrived she fed them all quickly with drinks. The special menu for the day consisted of many fish meals and orders were quickly placed. The new kitchen (costing hundreds of thousands) must have been under strain because the very large double room was... Ver carta
