"we have made an impromptu booking for 12 to prevent us from washing it again at the airbnb. it brings your own alcohol, so we could stick to what we already drank. the personal was friendly and welcoming. we ordered a large selection of foods, none of which was disappointed. the portions were particularly generous. I had a lamb biryani, the big and delicate pieces lamb had my preferred style."

"Me and a few friends had travelled to Bala lake for a nice day out, we walked into Bala centre to find somewhere for food and drink around 4pm. This was the first place we crossed, so we went in and waited by the sign where it said ‘wait to be seated’. We saw people sat outside with finished plates so we thought they’ll be serving food. We were waiting a fair few minutes, I popped my head around to the bar where this middle aged grumpy looking guy was working. He could definitely see us as I tried saying excuse me a few times, but he proceeded to ignore. So I went through to the bar where he was serving people and politely asked if they were serving food. He looked at me as he was pouring a pint and in a really grumpy way went ‘no’ and looked back down at the pint he was pouring. He looked angry? Even people at the bar noticed, we all just looked at each other a bit surprised. As we walked out, some people from the bar followed and said ‘yeah he’s a ‘wan*er, you’re better off trying somewhere further up’. Which we did and found a much more welcoming and friendlier place. It was just a shame he was so cold, like he didn’t want us there. We were tempted to get pizza from next door and all have drinks outside, but after the way he was we didn’t want to spend our money there. He lost out on 8 of us who were happy to fork out for drinks at least."

"I loved it here. we were out of bala last week and came three times. beautiful atmosphere, eating and beer. the personal was friendly and very courteous. at our last visit my mother took a ham sandwich, but it wasn't on the menu, but one of her colleagues went and talked to the cook and he could do a special for my mother and she really appreciated it. will definitely return when we visit bala again"

"Lovely little place to stop at if you're seeing the waterfall! Quite expensive which was expected for an independent cafe with nothing else around, but they were only taking cash at the time. It shows they do usually take card though. Really good cakes! Parking: Parking is £5 per day which is great. This is on the machines so you can use card on this. There is some free parking along the road but it's very bumpy and most likely usually full!"

"We have been coming to this restaurant for many years but since moving to this venue the food standard has dropped and the service is chaotic at best. We thought we would give it one more go as havent been in a while but we wont be rushing back. The young girl who served us, as nice as she was, was hopeless. We ordered some hummus and dough balls to start, I had to ask after 40 minutes whether they were ever coming and when they did, it was the wrong starter. My meal arrived 10 minutes before everyone elses and again,I had to prompt them for the other meals. My daughters spaghetti was overcooked and when we asked for the bill, the waitress tried to take our drinks that we hadnt finished. I could have understood if the restaurant was busy but there were 9 of us in there. Such a shame."
