Great Sunday meal with my sister , first time visiting for us. Great service,food was cooked lovely. I had the half chicken which was big, only had very small serving of mash potatoes on my, should be more for price. Beer garden to the rear is a great area.

Our first visit here and definitely won’t be our last. The food was exceptional and really good value too. The staff were attentive, friendly and overall we had a lovely experience. We will be back with friends for sure. Nice to see a local business thriving. Well done and keep up the good work

I had booked a table for valentines, but unfortunately my partner covid caught so we couldn't go. most companies would have canceled my booking and took my deposit, but they have transferred my payment kindly to the metzger and gave me incredible sirloin steaks, the delicate garlic mushrooms and some chips. I am in the respect of the service they provided when they did not. thank you! Your quality is estimated

Welcome we received and service throughout was second to none. Went for Sunday lunch and did 186 miles round trip for it. The surroundings were perfect and nicely spaced so felt comfortable. The only thing that bothered me was a soggy yorkie pud and it didn’t appear to be from gravy or because the meat was on top of it. Everything else was lovely. Would I make the 186 Mile round trip again? Yes I would go try a different meat or even go for steak night or a la carte. Keep up the good work guys, you can tell a lot about a place in how busy they were and there wasn’t a table free!

Me and my husband went here for our anniversary I had the sirloin steak chips which was cooked medium rare like asked, it was lovely the chips need a little longer cooked in my opinion, but I still ate most as was really hungry. My husband had the mix grill which was £25 he didn't like the rump steak which is very unusual for him, and didn't like the gammon as it had lots of herbs and spices all over it, in his opinion The sausage was flavourless but the lamb he said was delicious.. The staff are very attentive and was always on hand if needed. It's a cute little place I'd maybe return again to try something different next time.

we came to barlows this evening after our 10th high-time day after we had a fantastic experience in December. we came to find that they dressed our table with jubilee balloons and offered us a free drink. they even reminded us of our participation in December. they also remembered my nutritional restrictions and that was just the beginning of an amazing evening. We came to porterhouse by Barlows for our 10th wedding anniversary tonight after we had a fantastic experience in December. We arrived to find that they had dressed our table with anniversary balloons and offered us a complimentary drink. They even remembered us from our one attendance in December. They also remembered my dietary restrictions and that was just the start of an amazing evening. I ordered the pork belly and it was cooked to perfection. Very little fat and melt in the mouth tender. we had to send a dish back! delicious food, but had to star for the cutlery not polished, there were dishwasher marks left on all, and the special of the noodles was very sour. I must say to her credit, they replaced the court quickly and without steaming, so I have increased my rating to four stars. our friend is used to eat Asian food and it on a regular basis and he said the noodles were definitiw out. other customers questioned the taste, but the cook said it was right. the taste profile is not balanced. maybe too much lime juice was added to the nebel? the steaks and mixed grills were however perfect. the ribeye cut like a knife by butter. the meat was so tender.
