On a sunny day it is very nice to sit outside with magnificent views of the Cavloc lake with its green color. Polandta and mushrooms very nice, but a little heavy (same price, but we need to remember where we are). The cakes are delicious, especially with local ingredients as chestnuts and blueberries. This place is worth the walk, overlooking a mountain lake, surrounded by some of the highest peaks in the Alps. Park in Maloja and hike or bike (it climbs around 200m on a gravel road that gently winds through the landscape. Service is friendly and very fast, food is varied from small light snacks to the traditional farewell and plate of the game. The prices are good. Open 10-16:30 in summer.

We had just finished hiking Maloja and decided to eat at the lake for lunch. It turned out to be a very pleasant surprise of one of the better lunches we had during hiking in the area. The terrace of Ristorante Cavloccio overlooked a small beach on the shores of Lake Cavloc. With picnic tables (and very friendly table service!) it was a perfect place to enjoy a relaxing lunch outdoors. Our mixed salad with tuna and local cheese (see photo was very fresh and delicious it was great enough to split between two people and the homemade chestnut dessert (see photo was very delicious. We had to move away from the table after we could enjoy such a good meal in such a quiet place (there are no motor... Ver carta
