We stayed in Stanhope for a week in August and had read about this before we went. The food was lovely, it’s well worth trying.

We had 3 takeaways from here during our visit to Stanhope Show and we were blown away by every one. Best curry ever. We had a variety of dishes pathia, dopiaza, chicken mango, korma, bhuna, butter chicken. All lovely, thank you!

We ordered twice in one week, that’s how much we enjoyed the food! Nice customer service and great quality food. Everything made fresh! We had a takeaway from here while staying in Stanhope for 5 nights. I ordered Sag Aloo Delight with vegetable pilau rice. It’s was absolutely delicious, in fact it’s the Best Indian Takeaway I’ve had in last 15 years! I wish I lived a bit closer so I could have one more often. I will definitely order from here again next time I’m in the area. Highly recommended

Working in the area I used the online ordering so I could pay by card. Cash only in the shop. Food was ready on time and have to say, the basic lamb curry I had was excellent. As good as anywhere in the UK I`ve been to. Naan was a decent size (lots of places are cutting them down and the onion bhaji was good, with a nice clean taste. I`ll be back again tonight, and tomorrow : Highly Recommended. EDITED to add: Back again tonight and once again, the food was excellent. The aloo gobi was cooked to perfection. The curry is pefect for me. Not too spicy but very tasty. If I lived within 20 miles of here, this would be my go-to place. I`ll be back next week though when back at work.

In the area on holiday when we've been before we had a fantastic meal from roots of India so we ordered again from here, it didn't disappoint. King prawn balti was so tasty my husband loved his prawn korma. I ordered a vegetable bhaji thinking it was like an onion bhaji but it wasn't, it was vegetables done in a spicy sauce, I will know in future its not done in batter, but it was really tasty I would have it again. Great service too, ordered online collected, overall a 10 out of 10 for the food service. We will definitely come again when we come back to the area.
