"We were recommended this restaurant so were expecting the usual good quality, super German politeness and service, however, we were rather disappointed with our first visit. We arrived around leaving time for the locals who always eat at midday, but the main restaurant...and a side room were still fully occupied. We were seated in a new extension, a bit isolated from the main bar/restaurant area, completely by ourselves. This was a good thing, perhaps, because the restaurant was very noisy and warm we were seated at the huge window overlooking farm buildings and gardens, and we could talk in peace. What we found not so positive were the slow service and average food after such a long wait. Yes, it was Friday lunchtime and they had many guests but we were not brought the menu, just some bread (no butter or oil or anything else). By the time we were able to order we had eaten the bread so had to ask for more with our starters. The main courses were quite pricey and not especially good nor well presented. My asparagus was well cooked and tender but the sauce had no flavour. The cordon bleu was very oily and the pomme frites tasteless. What a shame. The best was the coffee as this was served prompty and very hot. The dessert came an age later! hours after arriving we were able to pay. Be aware this lunch-hour could possibly be longer than usual."

we had a really nice meal here. the service was friendly and efficient. the price was appropriate for the contrary. we were in the winter garden, which is very beautiful, but rather loud. the main restaurant is preferred.

The agitator farm is a safe tibb. We have been coming from nearby Basel for years to dinner and are always excited about the new one. This time it was the Zander with rice and roasted cauliflower (with Indian touch). Also the dishes with pifferlings were very good. We stay regulars.

seven of us had a nice extended lunch on a pleasant afternoon outside on the terrace. the server were very friendly and helpful to ensure that everyone was well maintained and meals included changes, if necessary by food restrictions in one case. Some. had a first cure as well as a second, and some of us had dessert. none of the dishes was less than good, and most would be described as very good. were generous.

The food was very tasty and the conditions are very friendly, unfortunately, due to vacation time scarcity very required. In the room it was very warm and because of a loud group at the side table the noise level was sometimes unpleasant. The soup was tastefully very good but with over 10 euros for a small bowl very high price. For the main course I found the price completely fine. I will be happy to have another visit and I can also recommend it.
