First dining at Spencer's, I went with my partner, my 3 year old daughter and new born on Sunday afternoon for dinner. The staff were very friendly and were really good with my daughter as she is very chatty with everyone she meets. The meals were absolutely delicious and very good portion sizes too.

My first time at the venue last night for a colleague's leaving do and it was a great night. The cocktails were fab and the meal we had was very good. Must add that I feel the main courses should be served with vegetables instead of having to pay extra as a side dish! Staff and atmosphere was really good. Will definitely go back. Ver carta

beautiful fresh quinoa and broccoli burger with chips and byhalat. burger seemed fresh and was nice to have something different to a standard "vegetable patty" that is offered so often in pubs. staff all beautiful, friendly and helpful. have not seen too many main vegan options on the main menu, but do not ask if they are a separate vegan menu, so maybe there are more options when they ask. updated by previous review on 2021-11-27

I wanted spencer's last night to eat her burn. eating was amazing. service also top notch. from the cook, as we were told, he is a colonial cousin from all the pond, so Scottish cuisine not his forté. the only part? the piper. he played with a melodie that can only be described as two scattered cats that have a fairly large difference in the composition in a dust bin. if they want to keep a burn’s nights every year, I would recommend the yorkshire piper as their choice. with the said spencer’s is a friendly place. great staff and good eating.

went for a meal last night and was pleased to be able to choose from a selection of vegan starters, main and desserts! I had mushroom bruschetta that made these really delicious little mushrooms, I really enjoyed it, followed by jerk sweet potato curry, and finished with a sticky pear pudding and vegan ice cream. it was so nice to choose from a selection at each part of the menu, instead of just a token vegan option, and with a real ' pudding was nice! for the service and eating that I would have received, I would have forgiven 5 stars, although I guess happy cow 5 stars only keeps for fully vegan / vegetarian places, so it is a well deserved 4 stars.
