Ashford Arms - Carta

We had a lovely meal food was great, probably the best tasting Thai curry I've had outside of a Thai restaurant. Good flavours, decent portions, reasonably priced and nice staff.

I booked Afternoon Tea here for my husbands birthday. He had the Savoury option and I had the traditional. Both didn't disappoint, all very tasty and the right amount of food. A lovely setting too.

Located in one of the most beautiful villages in Derbyshire, the Ashford Arms was a charming stop for tea after a day out in Matlock. The experience was delightful and we will definitely be returning. Ver carta

During our week in Derbyshire, we were lucky to dine at several excellent restaurants, and The Ashford Arms was our favorite. We chose to have our Christmas celebration there and it was a delightful experience.

Plant based Sunday lunch was amazing. To be honest it’s probably one of the best I’ve had. Service it spot on as well. What a great find. If you’re in the Bakewell or Ashford area then definitely worth a visit.

Called in on spec last Saturday having not been for years. Fortunately they had a spare table for us. The service was great and welcoming for food is absolutely fantastic. Prices are reasonable. Would not hesitate to recommend. Ver carta

Had a lovely celebratory meal with the family. Food was amazing however took quite a while for our desserts to then come afterwards. Didn’t come back to check if we wanted more drinks so ended up only having 1 pint in the hour and a half we were there

Came here with the family today while on holiday in the Peak District. One of the best meals we've had in a good while. Lovely setting and service was excellent and attentive even though the staff were very busy. The kids meal choices are far better than your average offerings and delicious too. Their chocolate brownie and their ice cream were also noteworthy. Definitely worth the visit.

Disappointed in the homemade pie. The crust was to hard to cut, it just shattered. The amount of mash and peas one small dollop of each) did not last the pie so you were eating just pie. Chicken and mushroom nothing special for home made pie , had better from pie shops. Well over priced. Complained, just told well it's a home made pie!!! No discount or apology.
