"Me and my wife celebrated our anniversary with a dinner at the Bell Inn. The food and service was exceptional. I had the scotch egg starter and my wife had the tempura tiger prawns. I have never tasted a scotch egg like that before. The flavours were wonderfully balanced. The prawns were delicious and the chilli jam had enough of a kick to it. For our mains we had fish and chips and roast lamb rump. The mains definitely had the wow factor. The fish and chips was outstanding and a big portion. The chip shop curry was a lovely side to go with the dish. The batter on the fish was exceptionally crisp. It was great to have proper hand cut chips instead of frozen. The lamp was beautifully presented and the taste lived up to the appearance. The lamb was cooked perfectly and was really tender. The lamb faggot was also delicious. The crème burlee had a lovely crisp top and beautifully soft underneath. The little welsh cakes that came with it were lovely with vanilla custard from the crème burlee. My wife only had ice cream and the kitchen even made this simple dish look beautiful. We will definitely be back."

Lovely place , the food is really good, I had the lamb which was delicious my partner had the fish curry and raved about the onion bhaji it came with . The service was great. We will definitely come again

I have visited this restaurant several times since I live nearby, but last night's meal was the best one yet! The Tandoori Hake, Scallops, and beetroot salad were excellent. Thank you. I will definitely be returning.

Four family members from Norfolk and West Berkshire had Sunday lunch today based upon the reviews here, we were not disappointed. Lovely friendly greeting, relaxed atmosphere with lovely food which you could not fault. Thank you.

Great find! Staff are lovely and the food was delicious. Not a huge menu but too much choice can be a bad thing. Great little touches and interesting pairings. Someone knows how to cook! Made a great stop off travelling to MIL. We will be back!

We had a wonderful lunch at this restaurant. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and there were plenty of options to choose from. We chose to sit indoors, which was delightful, but there is also a lovely outdoor seating area available.

Today's roast dinner was fabulous. The meal was tasty, the portion size was good, and the vegetables were fresh. I especially enjoyed the extra gravy. The presentation of the food was lovely, and the desserts were delicious. The staff were excellent, and the service was very impressive.

What a fantastic find! We were staying at Celtic Manor and escaped the hotel to this wonderful pub. They were so friendly and helpful and the food was really excellent. A fresh tomato salad to start followed by really good sea bream with prawn bisque plus a potato cake with just the right amount of crispness on the outside. But the star of the show was the trio of chocolate dessert probably one of the finest desserts I have had the pleasure of eating. Absolutely yummy. Plus we happened to be there on their open mic music night which really added to the atmosphere. Can't recommend this place more highly.
