"We booked a table for 4 and we were warmly welcomed and seated straight away . We chose to select a starter to share as we were saving ourselves for the main course . It was a mistake however. The buffalo sauced wings consisted of x1 whole chicken wing and x1 flat wing/tip!!! Not impressed. We had drinks at the table , as you do, and when ordering drinks again I said to the lady serving us that the first pint was a little flat and the response was not what I was expecting which was very defensive. I ordered an alternative brand without an apology . The main courses we all had were very well presented and were all very tasty. Compliments to the kitchen “brigade”. The restaurant and bar and rest rooms were extremely clean and nicely presented. The outside space looked very inviting too."

"Greeted as soon as we walked in the door by Kaspars the owner. This pub has exceptional service, food and decor. We were served by Jed who was very polite and knowledgable and very attentive. We ordered the chicken in a stilton and bacon cream sauce with chips and salad and lamb shank on bed of mash potatoes with vegetables. Both meals were absolutely delicious and we savoured every mouthful. We then ordered sticky Toffee pudding with cream and icecream and chocolate pudding with chocolate icecream. The desserts were very beautifully plated. The evening was very memorable and I would say it was one of the best pub meals that I have every had. Can't wait to return. Kaspars and his staff really are fantastic."

"I travel to over 40 pubs per month . As a Surveyor. This public house is fantastic. The lovely location it is in. Also the building itself. The Staff are friendly polite and very helpful. The food was excellent as nice to see a change of Roasts. We ordered a Roast sharer. Which was a cut of lamb stuffed. On a lovely wooden server. With a pot of gravy which was full of flavour and had an excellent taste. This came with accompanying Roast potatoes/ mixed veg. Fresh locally grown. As you could taste the difference. Also cauliflower cheese. Plus fantastic fresh made Yorkshire puddings. This feast was only £36. The Manager was very attentive throughout. I would highly recommend this public house restaurant. As it was a fantastic experience. Many other public houses. Could learn from this public houses. Glorious"

"I have never experienced such a cold welcome from a pub. We arrived at 4.40pm on Sunday so between the busy period. We only wanted a drink but after waiting nearly 10 minutes at the bar we were totalling ignored by the barman. Not even giving eye contact. He was admittedly busy preparing drinks for diners but to totally ignore someone standing in front of you is frankly rude and shows lack of client services. A quick I’ll be with you in a moment seems to be missing from his vocabulary. Other staff members did the same and to cap it off a diner came up to the bar and spoke to a staff member to order a drink. So will not be returning to this establishment and unless you like rude staff I would avoid."
