"Over-hyped food which revealed itself, at best, as disappointing and served up on “vintage” 1970s platters complete with all the unnecessary baskets, buckets and other tweeness including jumble sale cutlery, waiting staff lost without front-of-house management and direction, slow service, rubbish table in effectively a corridor, affected quasi-artisan décor… needs stripping back with a smaller and better executed menu, sharper service and lose the silly frills including that ghastly loo seat in the ladies."

Had an excellent meal at the Bull Inn, the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The food is exceptional, and a really nice country feeling to it. Very covid safe also.

We have dined at the newly refurbished Bull a few times since it t was reopened, and cannot recommend it highly enough. Fabulous food, fantastic service and an overall superb experience.

Had lunch here yesterday, what a beautiful place. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great menu... and the food was amazing. Was lovely walking in on a rainy day. To the fire being on. 5 stars

My Skate Wing was delicious, very thick (1.5 ins/2 cm) on a bed of wilted spinach and celeriac, covered with a topping of capers. Very succulent. Delcious. My wife enjoyed her lamb. Good service. Argentinian Vognier was good value and flavoursome.

Turned up on a Wednesday evening met by a very friendly who was unable to find my booking, however advised no problem they would accommodate us, although there might be a wait. Turned out that I had actually booked the evening before! Staff all very...

We started with two appetizers from the 'Whilst you wait' menu - the Whitebait and Sausages, both of which were delicious. My son opted for the slow-cooked pork belly, while I chose a dish from the special menu - Thai cod with rice and sauce. Both dishes were fantastic, and we ended up sharing our meals. The service was excellent, as was the wine we enjoyed with our meal. Overall, a perfect dining experience at The Bull.

First visit to the Bull in five years or so. Found the interior now a bit strange with bright lights around the bar and Xmas decorations on the beams. I am the first to admit that pubs have changed but it was a weird mixture of a country and a town pub. The menu had a good choice but Ploughman is no more. The scampi and chips meal was very good but it was served up with multiple pots all of which had to be emptied onto the plate the make a meal. Service was attentive and welcoming.

Went to The Bull recently with family and had one of the best Sunday roasts I have had at a pub. Normally I think you can cook a better roast at home than at a pub but the Sunday roast at The Bull is excellent. Beef was excellent quality and served pink, the pork was also very tasty. Very good quality sides, especially cauliflower cheese. Puddings were also excellent, I had rhubarb and apple crumble which was delicious. Service was very quick and efficient, especially given how busy the pub was. Thank you!

"Went here to celebrate a couple of friends birthdays and had a very mixed evening. It was a Monday night so it was quiet and we were one of only a handful of tables. We were a party of four and there were no tables any larger than ours in that evening. We were seated quickly and that was about the one and only thing that happened all night with any kind of urgency. Our orders were taken and we were waiting 20 minutes or more for our first round of drinks. About half way through this, we were informed that three of the four meals we had ordered were sold out (something you'd think we'd have been informed of at the time of ordering . We thought we could quench our thirst with some water whilst waiting for our drinks but sadly no one ever came over to refill our glasses. When the food finally arrived it was delicious and I couldn't fault it at all (even if it wasn't my first choice on the menu! , so that made up for lack of service. We ordered a dessert each although only 3 of them arrived. My friend had to ask for her coffee which also didn't have any signs of showing and then when her dessert didn't show she just gave up on it (it was never put through the system . I ordered a glass of red wine, specifying the wine and was given a glass of what I assume was house red at least I wasn't mis charged for it as it was cheaper than the one I ordered! Even paying the bill was an ordeal, taking us a while to get it and then having to go through line by line to see if any of the food we ordered and didn't get hadn't been taken off (there was one additional meal on the bill . All in all a bit of a shambles but at least the delicious food and the wonderful company meant it didn't dampen our evening too much. Don't think I'd come back on a quiet night again, seems the service staff take it as a sign to disappear."
