Enjoyed the place good food and service. Been going to Matlock for well over 50 years my first visit today.

The pulled pork burger was absolutely delicious along with the chips. Really good food! Atmosphere was great, clearly well liked in the local area! As a first time visitor I would definitely go again

A restaurant that welcomes dogs with a reasonably priced menu. The staff is friendly and the location is charming. I tried the Vegan Burger with chips and slaw. While it's not the best burger I've had, it's decent for a pub.

Lovely sitting outside in the sun. Ordered pizzas 2 take away, Lovely pizzas sourdough base and a good choice..Staff very friendly.. All Good.. Neive is very friendly, we had, had a few 2 drink so she gave us a list of available Taxi Company's we got a Taxi within 5 minutes.. Ver carta

It was nice to go to a pub in a small town where the vegan options were more than just a bean burger. We both had the vegan pizza so i’m not too sure of how good the other vegan options are but we really loved the pizza. The pizza were two for £15 which is a really good deal. We came here with two meat eaters and they both really enjoyed their food as well.

There are 5 vegan options available at this restaurant, including 2 pizzas, 2 burgers (both with the same ingredients, with caramelized onions as an optional add-on), and 1 flatbread. I tried the flatbread with hummus and one of the burgers, and both were delicious. However, the burger with caramelized onions was particularly amazing. I have been vegan for 7 years and I have to say, this is probably the best vegan burger I have ever had.

We utilised the Fishpond a couple of times last week for a beer during our stay in Matlock Bath or should I say Southend not on Sea , firstly when we arrived on the Wednesday evening when it was fairly quiet but still the busiest of the pubs in town the Rose Cottage was completely dead and the Midland wasn’t even open , and then again on Saturday evening when , like the rest of Matlock Bath, it was completely mental until the day tripping tourist families and bikers headed home leaving it to the hardcore locals and us tourists staying in town.
