The Foresters - Menú

After walking round Middleton stopped her for a beer. Not impressed with the selection of ales just a choice of one. Could not use the outside terrace as this open air area was closed for covid! Won’t hurry back when next in area.

Somewhere a bit more upmarket than our usual choice. Whisky-infused beef short rib for me 5*. Slow cooked beef, and the whisky flavour really came though. Superb. Monkfish with chickpeas for wifey 2* because the chickpeas were cold. Oh well.

great quality and worth restaurant £40 for two drinks, two net two coffee quality was excellent. classic French chicken meal were brilliantly delicious and well cooked. service excellent, eating hot, latte beautiful. would recommend to all my friends

We went in because the fish cakes sounded really good unfortunately the fish order hadn’t arrived, so we had to rethink . I chose beef bourguignon and my husband had the Toulouse sausages. The beef was so tender and the sausages really tasty. The staff...were all very helpful and we left more than happy

Ate here on recommendation of Tan Hill Inn people. The service was spot on and despite it being a classy restaurant, they let me in no problems with my walking clothes. They do a rib thing (owner what's it called) and it was the...greatest meal I've ever had. So so tender and the sauce was exquisite. Granted I was starving after a hard walk on the Pennine Way but I do a lot of walking and this was to die for. Staropramen on draft as well.

it stayed two nights and enjoyed our visit in teesdale. the restaurant is excellent, eating and service first advice and to get similar quality in the midlands, it would be twice the price. the bark bourguignon was the best I ever tried. The...room was quirky and the king size bed was really comfortable, best nights sleep in years, although the wandering might have something to do with it. the only negatiw was the noise we were over the pub, but we were so tired that it didn't keep us awake we would certainly return.

expected not to eat that was on this menu, but oh my god, it was good. we had to share snails and frog legs. I had pork brains for porn (best maische, I had .apart from my own.) man had soul trout (he had horses, but it was all gone.) I had creme brulee,husband had pistachio tart...both amazing, expect to see the biggest pfeffer mill in the world.as it did not in the GWR book that I will never know. fab service and eat round .hohe recommended. I would book here if they plan a trip. we were in the hill b and b (separate review.)

We'd hoped for lunch at the Forresters but when we got back from our walk it was to find that lunch had just finished. However they very kindly squeezed us in to the restaurant then as they were fully booked for the evening. It was...a lovely lunch with very helpful and attentive service. I rarely have a starter but they looked so delicious that I succumbed. The beetroot smoked salmon and salmon mousse...beautiful But with the inevitable result that I could only eat half of my large portion of rabbit. I did my best and it was extremely tasty. Beer and wine also excellent, and although by now we were the only ones left in the dining room we never felt rushed. Highly recommended.

Whilst holidaying in Middleton we had a drink here and sat outside. It was the 26th of August, a mild Thursday evening when the live theatre started. It was very dramatic. A young heavily tattooed gentleman marched up to the outside area shouting loudly that.. Josh had spat on his car'. This was followed by a lot of swearing. Various other characters appeared including the staff running the establishment who joined in with the drama. The character of Josh didn't appear but a young lady in an ill-fitting costume did and proudly claimed that her dad could take him'.
