"What a lovely pub. Had some friends coming from various places near London, and my wife and I were traveling down the Thames on Holiday. Found this place in a location good for all, and it didn't disappoint. We wanted somewhere we could meet up, natter and gossip and on top of that have some food and drink. This was supplied by the F&C and we had the chat and giggles we wanted. Lovely staff who looked after us, excellent pub meals and reasonably priced.....what's not to like. Thank you Fox and Castle for helping our evening along with your contribution of venue."

Lovely welcome in cosy surroundings. Food very tasty especially the Chicken Mediterranean Salad . Reasonably priced, well worth a visit.

Great old fashioned pub with lovely garden area. Loved it will be back again. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and the food was great.

Great environment, we sat in one of the lovely cabins in the garden . Staff were friendly and very efficient . Very good vegan options . Will definitely be going back

The food was really good great home made pies. I had the special Cullen Skink soup which was truly delicious as were the sweet potato fries. Have been here several times and never had any issues

This is a nice venue with really friendly staff. However when trying to eat our food we ended up with the proprietors cat on the table trying to eat our food. It was really persistent and would not go. The staff seemed oblivious to it. NOT GOOD. Could not recommend.

Absolutely awful experience would advise to stay away! Rude staff who have absolutely no idea what they are doing and when asked questions look at you like you’re stupid? Complained about chicken being undercooked severely and was told it’s fine and wouldn’t replace! DONT COME HERE

The Fox Castle is outstanding in every way. Food, staff, service value. It is dog fiendly recently adopted a stray that decided it wanted to live there! They have had it neuted called it Foxy. The cat is calm, friendly so well behaved. Doesn't go anywhere it shouldn't never approaches anyone unless called. Thank you Fox Castle outstanding

This pub looks really inviting, the interior is quaint, the garden is well maintained and the staff are friendly. What massively let it down was the food. We had the greasiest fast cooked food we’ve had in a long time. Couldn’t finish it, as it was awful. The oil it was cooked in must be old as all the food was tainted. Sorry, but I wouldn’t eat here again. I would however go for drinks as the environment was nice.

We saw this pub on the way to the Toby last week and was blown away by the location and look of the place booked Sunday lunch and was looking forward to the meal the staff were great but the table wasn’t prepared for a meal cutlery was plonked down four of us had the roast and Lesley had the pie. The veg was cold the Yorkshire puddings were burnt roast potatoes had been cooked the day before and the meat beef and lamb) was the prepackaged stuff. Basically the food was inedible truly the worst roast I’ve ever had a lazy meal
